3D Scanner Ultra HD is a professional, desktop 3D laser scanner produced by the US company NextEngine. It adopts a self-developed, electro-optical architecture composed of an array of solid-state lasers able to scan in parallel. This advanced system grants high point throughput, data fidelity, and shadow-free imaging. The multi-laser triangulation technology allows capturing high-quality 3D scans. The scanner can work either with or without a turntable.
The NextEngine 3D scanner Ultra HD is capable of scanning full-color textures and intricate geometries with an accuracy of up to 0.005 mm. It employs 2 minutes for a single scan and around 10 minutes for a complete scan. It is suited for scanning large parts without the use of a rotating table. Indeed, by patching multiple views together, it is able to capture items larger than its field size.
It comes with some functional surface treatment tools, such as prep markers, powder and paint pens. The 3D data collected has lots of detail. The Macro mode has a maximum capture density of 268K points/in² at 500 DPI, the Wide mode supports 29K points/in² capture density at 200 DPI. The scanner includes integrated lighting to create the ideal lighting conditions while eliminating shadows.
It is ideal for desktop use under ordinary office lighting. If you need to scan dark, transparent or reflective parts, you first have to coat them in spray powder.
After completing a capture, the device delivers clean surface data that can be used straight from the scanner.

The Macro Mode has a field size of 130 x 97 mm, while the Wide Mode provides a larger area of 343 x 257 mm. The scanner has no preset limit. It allows scanning products larger than the maximum capture area.

It is used to scan, align, polish and fuse 3D models. it is able to easily assemble multiple views through the integrated Smart Alignment and trim tools.
