Using a ceramics 3D printer in contrast to traditional AM methods may benefit you in several ways. First, they allow you to make quick changes in construction when needed. Then, ceramic SLA enables building products with complex individual shapes without loss in quality. Finally, the machines based on this technology support custom materials with an individual composition of additives. Thus, you can achieve unique properties of the manufactured products, which is particularly important for some industries.

Print quality

The 3DCeram C1000 FLEXMATIC can sinter layers with a minimum thickness of 25 microns that can be further adjusted to the user’s needs. The printer is engineered with a 2 kW laser with a spot diameter of 60 microns to ensure high accuracy and detail of the printed items.

As an example, the C1000 FLEXMATIC is able to print 162 foundry cores in a single print session. With the single laser configuration, it will take the machine 1 hour 40 minutes to print 1 core in contrast to only 54 minutes for the two-laser version.

The machine is based on top-down stereolithography, which allows it to print without mechanically attached supports. Thus, the C1000 is able to produce consistent parts with high precision and smooth surfaces adding to the overall parts quality. Moreover, they do not require additional post-processing to meet most specifications.

The printer is engineered with a unique blade that fills up with slurry directly from a pressure tank before spreading a homogenous layer on the build platform. Due to this precise feeding, you get optimal material quantity for every run. The capacity of the tank allows for one or two print sessions in a row depending on the height of the produced parts.
