The Raptor is a new single-extruder FFF 3D printer from 3DCeram Sinto Tiwari dedicated to printing several types of ceramics and metals. It represents a closed-frame machine characterized by a robust structure, temperature stability, and top-quality outputs. Like its predecessors from 3DCeram’s SLA series, the Raptor aims at cost-effective green manufacturing and fully meets the company’s Smart Ceramic Factory concept.
The printer is equipped with a sufficient cubic build area and closed chamber, which makes it completely safe and highly effective when working with high-temperature filaments. The self-developed extrusion head with a standard nozzle size boasts enhanced resistance to abrasive compositions, which makes it ideal for dealing with ceramics.
Apart from the mentioned benefits, the device features multiple subsystems for streamlined operation and user-friendly experience. For example, the printer comes with a flexible build plate and smart cooling mechanism that make for the improved print quality. Also, the Raptor supports several accessible slicing programs, such as Cura, which allows the user to choose software according to their preferences.
Due to its heating capabilities, wide range of supported consumables, thoughtful design, and ease of use, the 3DCeram Raptor can be applied in a variety of industries to produce quality ceramic and metal products in an efficient and environmentally-friendly way.
The 3DCeram Raptor can produce accurate functional parts with quite smooth surface finish that adds to the overall print quality and fits industrial needs.
The machine is equipped with a unique extrusion head that is specifically designed to print ceramic parts by enduring the abrasive nature of the materials used. Moreover, it enables smooth and steady filament flow.
The enclosed structure and evenly heated bed (up to 115 °C) guarantee reduced model warping, temperature stability, and printing repeatability. In addition, the built-in cooling system allows to obtain the best result on the printed parts.
The flexible build platform with long service life and decent heat distribution enables easy removal of the ready prints.
The 3DCeram Raptor prints with professional metal and ceramic filaments with the standard 1.75 mm diameter. The list of the supported materials includes Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Copper for metals as well as Silicon Carbide, Alumina, and Zirconia for ceramics.
Since the maximum extruder temperature can reach up to 270 °C, the machine ensures smooth and quality 3D printing with high-performance filaments and provides consistent end-use parts for demanding industries, such as aerospace. In addition, the Raptor is engineered with a heated print bed and closed chamber, which guarantees reliable protection against temperature fluctuations.
The build area of 7.9 x 7.9 x 7.9 inches (200 x 200 x 200 mm) lets you produce small to medium models as a whole. Larger objects can be printed in several parts and then assembled together.
The 3DCeram Raptor boasts a highly intuitive control panel with all the necessary buttons and indicators. 3D models can be printed from a computer via SD card or USB.
The printer is compatible with some of the most popular slicers, such as Cura, Slic3r, and Simplify3D. The supported programs provide all sorts of traditional 3D slicing tools, such as auto mesh fixing and optimization, editing supports, recommended profiles, etc., and allow the user to work with a wide range of file formats. As for the user interface, you can easily choose the one you are most comfortable with.
