Afinia ES360 is a desktop 3D scanner made by the US company Afinia. It is a re-branded version of the Einscan-S 3D scanner. It adopts a structured white-light technology to provide high-accuracy, color 3D scanning. Its ease of use, safety and affordable price make it ideal for beginners, hobbyists, and students. Afinia ES360 is a white-light based desktop 3D scanner. It has an accuracy of less than 0.1 mm and a resolution of 1.3 megapixel. It adopts a light phase shifting technology. The automatic mode lets you perform a complete scan in less than 3 minutes. The free scan mode makes a single scan in less than 10 seconds and offers a single scan range of 200 x 150mm. The scanner features a point distance of 0.17mm–0.2mm. It is able to scan colored texture.
Afinia ES360 provides two different scan volumes according to the scanning mode selected. With the automatic scan, the maximum scan area is 215 x 215 x 200mm. The free scan mode has a scan volume of 700 x 700 x 700 mm.
The scanner is controlled via a USB-tethered computer. However, you can start the scanning process directly from the device via the dedicated button.
The Afinia ES360 comes packaged with the proprietary software. It runs on Windows, for other operating systems we suggest installing a virtual machine. The software offers two types of alignment methods, automatic and manual, and can export different file formats, including STL, ASC, and OBJ.
