The Anycubic Photon M3 is an entry-level resin-based 3D printer with a fairly spacious build volume and a 4K LCD. The machine comes mostly assembled and requires just a few set-up steps, with the build plate calibrated manually with four adjustment screws on its sides.
The 7.6" monochrome 4096 x 2560 LCD matrix provides the XY resolution of 40 microns, allowing for highly detailed prints. To protect the screen from accidental resin leaks, it is covered with an anti-scratch film protector that can be easily replaced. The Photon M3 is equipped with the LighTurbo parallel light matrix with 28 UV LEDs providing strong and uniform light exposure. This helps reduce printing time and makes for dimensionally accurate models with sharp edges. The user can set the UV power in the Tools menu and then adjust it during printing. Due to its powerful light source and high-contrast LCD, the Photon M3 is a fast machine capable of building models with a maximum speed of 50 mm/h.

Minimum layer height of 10 microns and 40-micron XY resolution allow you to print incredibly crisp neat-looking models with a lot of fine details and perfectly smooth surface finish without visible layer lines. The overall print quality is impressively high and consistent for a hobbyist 3D printer.

Anycubic offers a variety of UV resins with different properties of different colors, such as flexible, water-washable, dental, castable, and many other types. Besides the proprietary materials, the Photon M3 can print with 405 nm photosensitive resins produced by third-party manufacturers.
The Anycubic Photon M3 is the most compact machine in the M3 family. Yet, its build volume of 180 x 163 x 102 mm is larger than most entry-level resin 3D printers can offer. This allows creating pretty sizable models and is generally enough for consumer projects.
The Photon M3 is operated via a responsive 2.8" color LCD touchscreen featuring a simple and clear UI with three sub menus, which are Print, System, and Tools. On the right side of the base there is a power switch and a USB 2.0 slot.
The printer comes with the free Anycubic Photon Workshop software which is easy-to-use and provides all the necessary basic tools, such as adding support structures or hollowing the model. Once the model is sliced, it should be transferred to the machine on a USB stick.
