The BIQU B1 SE Plus is an affordable FDM 3D printer kit that features a larger build volume and somewhat wider capabilities compared to the original BIQU B1. The device boasts an upgraded modular design for more stable printing, as well as an auto calibration sensor. The aluminum-based print bed sports high hardness and provides better flatness, with a textured carborundum glass surface to ensure good adhesion.
Like the original model, the SE Plus is equipped with a powerful 32-bit motherboard with a silent chip for noise-free printing experience. The functionality of the machine can be expanded with various upgrades, whether it be a Wi-Fi module, Raspberry Pi, dual Z axis, RGB lighting, or other bells and whistles.
The BIQU B1 SE is a great printer for hobbyists and tinkerers. Apart from personal customization and art models, it is also suited for architectural and industrial design, medical prototyping, and education.

The BIQU B1 SE Plus is an FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 100 microns. Thus, the surface finish turns out not as smooth as you get with more expensive printers, but it is more than enough for prototyping and household use. The following photo shows the great quality of the part printed on the SE Plus — there are absolutely no horizontal lines to be seen.

The device is equipped with a high-quality brass 0.4 mm nozzle, providing the best balance between speed and detail. The aluminum single-gear extruder sports a strain gauge sensor, making for immaculate bed leveling.
The print head runs on rods with linear bearings, making the design simple, lightweight, and effective.
The BIQU B1 SE prints with PLA, PETG, TPU, TPE, ABS, and other consumables. The filament diameter stands at 1.75 mm, which makes it possible to use a variety of materials no matter the manufacturer.
The extruder comes with a dual cooling fan that reduces warping and stringing issues and makes printing with PLA-type materials next to impeccable. Just look at this Nightwing bust printed in Glint Blue PLA.

With the nozzle and print bed capable of heating up to 260 °C and 100 °C respectively, the printer is safe to work with materials such as PETG, ABS, and even Nylon.
That said, we recommend installing an enclosed build chamber so the print quality will not be affected by temperature fluctuations as a result of drafts and other factors.
The build area of 12.2 x 12.2 x 13.4 inches (310 x 310 x 340 mm) enables you to produce fairly sizeable objects. If you find that the model to be printed is exceedingly large, you can split it into several parts.
The printer is controlled via a 3.5-inch HD color touchscreen with a responsive, user-friendly interface ensuring smooth operation and supporting multiple languages. Also, there is an adjustment knob beside the screen for increment (decrement) purposes.
The smart features of the device include filament runout detection and power loss recovery, so you can rest assured that the printing process will not be affected by such troubles.
The B1 SE Plus is compatible with the major slicing solutions: Cura, Repetier-Host, Simplify3D. The printer software works with 3D models in STL, OBJ, and AMF formats; it runs on the Windows operating system (7 and above).
