The BIQU THUNDER is a budget-friendly FDM 3D printer that offers impressive build volume and can print layers at 100 microns. Packed with a plethora of features for a seamlessly integrated workflow, this sturdily built machine features automatic bed leveling, a detachable heated bed, and a powerful mainboard with a silent TMC2208 chip that lets you use the printer even at nighttime. The device can be controlled via a built-in 3.5-inch touchscreen and accessed remotely by using its Wi-Fi module.

The printer is equipped with a filament runout sensor that will alert you in case there is no more material to print with. The printing process will be paused automatically and can be continued manually afterward. Besides, it has a resume printing function that will put printing on hold in case a sudden blackout has occurred. A duo of indispensable features in case you’d like to print big.

Print quality

The BIQU THUNDER is an FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 100 microns. This way you can produce parts with pretty smooth exterior surfaces. 

The BIQU THUNDER comes stock with a single 0.4 mm nozzle, giving you the best balance between speed and detail.

The print head runs on rods with linear bearings, making the design more simple, lightweight and effective, all characteristics that are desirable in a 3D printer.

 

Materials

The BIQU THUNDER can print with ABS, PLA, PETG, TPU, and other 1.75 mm filaments. 

Its extruder features a built-in fan that ensures consistency when printing with high-temperature plastics and reduces warping, stringing, and other related issues.

The BIQU THUNDER has a detachable spring steel heated print bed that ensures easy print removal, especially when handling intricate or big objects.

The build area of 300 x 300 x 400 mm (11.8 x 11.8 x 15.7 mm) lets you print a single large model or simultaneously create several medium-sized ones in one go.  

 

Printer controls

The printer can be controlled via a 3.5-inch touchscreen. Besides, it features Wi-Fi and USB connectivity. 

The printer is compatible with all the major slicing software solutions. It can run on Cura, Simplify3D, and Repetier-Host. The software runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems.
