Witbox Go! is an open-source, FDM 3D printer from the Spanish BQ manufacturer. It comes pre-assembled and doesn’t require almost any setup. It is a smart, automated device based on an Android operating system. It incorporates a Qualcomm® Snapdragon ™ 410 processor, a single Double Drive Gear extruder, and a Wi-Fi module.

It is equipped with a removable, texturized bed for enhanced adhesion. A bunch of smart sensors automatically stops printing in case of improper bed calibration, filament run-out, and nozzle clogging. The Witbox Go! features a Trinamic motor-control chip that ensures quiet operation and a thermally efficient hotend for better heat distribution and lower risk of clogging.

The Witbox Go! has been used to print a wide variety of models. Check the examples below to see what it is capable of.

Print quality

The Witbox Go! is an FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 100 microns. This is quite enough to produce parts with smooth exterior surfaces. The DDG Bowden-extruder mechanism is based on two gearwheels that seamlessly feed the thread to the end of the hotend reducing clogging risks. The compact and efficient all-metal hotend employs a cylindrical heater for a fast and even heat distribution. The thermal insulation of the nozzle makes the printer safer and more efficient. The quality hardware lets you achieve accurate print results.

The print head runs on rods with linear bearings, making the design more simple, lightweight and effective, all characteristics that are desirable in a 3D printer.

Materials

Witbox Go! prints with PLA and other materials.

The extruder comes with a fan for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints.
