Creality CR-10S is an enhanced version of the legendary CR-10, that stunned the 3D printing community with its innovations. The CR-10 remains a big hit on the market. The CR-10S upholds this tradition by offering high quality without skyrocketing in price. This FDM 3D printer is designed specifically for hobbyists and professionals. It can be used to print a wide variety of models. The Creality CR-10S 3D printer is an exceptional and reliable machine. Few other printers in the same price segment offer such a large print volume.
Here’s a couple of examples of what this printer is capable of:
The device performs great at modeling parts of a human body. Since this particular model is quite big, the parts were printed separately and then assembled together into a single workpiece.
Here’s another good example of how the printer is dealing with sizeable models. The large build volume allowed to print the model below in one go.
The Creality CR-10S perfectly handles printing at 50 microns. This way you can produce parts with smooth exterior surfaces. Just look at this army of robots! All the models turned out smooth and with no visible layering. Excellent!
Creality CR-10S deals with one of the hot-button issues in the 3D printing community: wobbling. The new solution features a second rod for the Z-axis, which reduces wobbling quite a bit and preserves the quality of the printed models.
The Creality CR-10S has a 0.2 mm nozzle, offering you the best balance between speed and detail. The printer is capable of producing incredibly detailed models, as you can see in the picture above.
The print head runs on rods with linear bearings. This offers more flexibility, making the printingmore simple and effective. These are the features most desirable for a high quality 3D printer.
Creality CR-10S can work with PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, special filaments and other materials.
The extruder comes with a fan, which is good for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints. Here’s an example: This colorful bike was built with a PLA material.

Printer’s heated bed allows the usage of ABS-type materials.
Installing an enclosed print chamber is recommended to increase performance significantly. This way temperature fluctuations will not affect the quality of the printed model. This also makes the device more reliable: even after printing 10 models in a row you will get workpieces of the same high quality.
Creality CR-10S is not suited for printing high temperature materials like PEEK, ABS/PC, PEI, carbon fiber or glass fiber. To successfully work with these materials the extruder temperature must exceed 572°F (300°C), whereas the extruder on the Creality CR-10S has a maximum temperature of 518 °F (270 °C).
Creality CR-10S uses 1.75 mm filament, providing you with a wide choice of materials.
The build area of 11.8 x 11.8 x 15.7 inches (300 x 300 x 400 mm) lets you print just about anything. Even a chest:

The printer offers an LCD screen and a simple user interface. Along with that the new model features a number of innovations, such as Filament Runout Detection Sensor, which mechanically pauses the print once the printer runs out of filament. The new Auto-resume feature saves your progress in case of a power loss, once restored it lets you pick up where you left off.
The machine also has the ability to print from an SD card.
The Cura slicing software allows the printer to work with 3D models in G-code, JPG, OBJ, STL formats, and is available for Windows and Mac OS X. Linux users will have to install software in order to get it to work.

Creality CR-10S is available in black, gray, white, yellow or red colors. Its stylish look makes it ideal for both home and professional use. The printer dimensions are 24.21 x 23.62 x 19.29 inches (615 x 600 x 490 mm). It weighs 28.6 lb (13 kg). The printer features a standalone spool holder, located separately from the device.
The price of the Creality CR-10S is $435.00, which is reasonable considering its functionality.
