The Creality Ender-3 S1 is a desktop FDM 3D printer with a bundle of helpful features which increase print quality and usability of the device. The Ender-3 S1 has undergone some major changes, compared to its predecessor, the popular Ender-3 model.
The device comes mostly assembled, the user only needs to complete 6 easy steps to start printing. The open modular construction allows for easy printer upgrades.
The S1 is equipped with the company’s new proprietary “Sprite” dual-gear direct extruder with two chrome steel gears, and the gear ratio of 1:3.5. The “Sprite” provides more uniform filament extrusion, and makes printing with TPU and other flexible materials more comfortable and reliable.
Featuring a dual Z-axis system with a second Z-axis lead screw and a motor, the printer provides a smoother synchronized movement for more precise, accurate prints. The automatic bed leveling function with a 16-point CR Touch sensor adjusts the distance between the nozzle and the print bed, and saves the user from the tedious process of manual bed leveling, ensuring perfect first layer adhesion. The PC-coated magnetic build plate, made of spring steel, can be pulled off and bent for easy removal of the printed part without any debris left on the bed.
Other useful features of the Ender-3 S1 include filament runout detection and print resume function, which automatically saves the data in case of a sudden power outage, and allows the user to resume printing later.

The Ender-3 S1 can print layers at the minimum height of 50 microns. The new direct drive extruder and dual Z-axis system ensure uniform filament extrusion, providing repeatable high-quality parts without print failures.

With the maximum nozzle temperature of 260 °C, the Creality Ender-3 S1 can print with all popular consumer plastic filaments, such as PLA, TPU, PETG, and ABS. The heated print bed with the maximum temperature of 100 °C adds to the quality of the printed parts.
The S1 features an open design and a pretty spacious build volume of 220 x 220 x 270 mm, which is enough for most consumer projects.
You can buy an LED add-on, in case you want the build chamber to be illuminated better.
The operation of the device is performed via its 4.3" LCD with a rotary knob instead of a more usual touch interface. The display automatically dims out when not in use for more than 5 minutes.

The printer comes with the proprietary Creality Slicer software, based on the well-known Cura. Other popular slicers, like Cura, Repetier-Host, or Simplify3D, can also be used for file preparation.
