The Creality Ender-3 S1 Pro is a high-temp modification of the Ender-3 S1 model. The major distinction of the Pro version is the addition of high-performance materials to the standard list of compatible filaments. But this is not the only interesting change the Ender-3 S1 Pro can boast.
Like the Ender-3 S1, the device comes mostly assembled, the user only needs to complete 6 easy steps to start printing. The open modular construction allows for easy printer upgrades. For example, you may want to expand the capabilities of your printer by adding a laser engraving function.
The S1 Pro is equipped with the company’s new proprietary “Sprite” dual-gear direct extruder, but unlike the S1’s “Sprite”, this one features an all-metal brass nozzle, which can heat up to 300 °C, giving the opportunity to print with high-temperature materials, alongside standard plastics. Another strong point of the “Sprite” extruder is the way it processes flexible materials, like TPU, providing more uniform filament extrusion.
Other changes, compared to the Ender-3 S1, refer to the LED light bar for the build chamber (which was an option with the S1), a print bed handle, and the UI, offering touchscreen operation instead of the rotating knob.
The Ender-3 S1 Pro features the same dual Z-axis system with a second Z-axis lead screw and a motor, as the S1 model. The system provides an aligned synchronized movement for more precise, accurate prints.
The automatic bed leveling function is also as good as with the Ender-3 S1. It uses a 16-point CR Touch sensor with a metal pin to adjust the distance between the nozzle and the print bed, thus saving the user from the tiresome process of manual bed leveling, ensuring perfect first layer adhesion. The PC-coated magnetic build plate, made of spring steel, can be pulled off and bent for easy removal of the printed part without any debris left on the bed. Now it is equipped with a handle for more convenience.
Other useful features of the Ender-3 S1 Pro include filament runout detection and print resume function, which automatically saves the data in case of a sudden power outage, and allows the user to resume printing later.

The Ender-3 S1 Pro can print layers at the minimum height of 50 microns. The “Sprite” direct drive extruder and dual Z-axis system provide uniform filament extrusion, allowing for accurate prints with consistent quality.

This is the part where the Ender-3 S1 Pro differs considerably, compared to the S1. Due to the maximum nozzle temperature of 300 °C, the device can print not only with popular consumer plastic filaments, such as PLA, TPU, PETG, and ABS, but also with high-temperature materials, like Nylon, or Carbon fiber. The heated print bed with the maximum temperature of 110 °C adds to the quality of the printed parts.
The S1 Pro features an open design and a pretty spacious build volume of 220 x 220 x 270 mm, which is enough for most consumer projects.

The operation of the device is performed via its 4.3" touchscreen LCD. The UI is intuitive and easy-to-use; it supports 9 languages, compared to Chinese and English only in the S1 model. The display automatically dims out when not in use for more than 3 minutes.
The printer comes with the proprietary Creality Slicer software, based on the well-known Cura. Other popular slicing software, like Cura, Repetier-Host, or Simplify3D, can also be used for file preparation.
