FlashForge Dreamer is a dual-extruder FDM 3D printer from FlashForge. It is a closed-frame machine characterized by reliability, temperature stability, and high-resolution outputs. It comes pre-assembled and factory calibrated. Its installation is a cinch. It boasts engineering-grade components for high printing stability and consistency.
Equipped with a proprietary dual-extrusion system, it enables multi-color and multi-material printing with a broad range of filaments. The enclosed chamber and the aluminum build plate provide consistent results on large print runs. The printer comes with an integrated touchscreen and Wi-Fi connectivity for a user-friendly printing experience.
The printer is widely adopted for the production of different categories of products and functional parts. Let’s review some examples.
A Belarusian programmer 3D printed a bespoke prosthetic arm for his father. He took care of both the design and kinematics of the prosthesis. By manufacturing it on his own, the production costs turned out to be 20x cheaper than the costs required by traditional clinics. The final print quality of the model was really high. These hinged fingers are a little part of the project.
Another user 3D printer the Batpod from The Dark Knight movie. It took about two weeks to complete the whole project.

The Flashforge Dreamer is an FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 100 microns. The surface finish is not as smooth as you get with the more expensive printers, but is more than enough for prototyping and household use. The closed structure and the heatable bed ensure temperature stability and printing repeatability.

The print head runs on rods with linear bearings, making the design more simple, lightweight and effective, all characteristics that are desirable in a 3D printer.
Flashforge Dreamer prints with ABS, PLA, PVA, Flex, T-glass and other composite materials.
The extruder comes with a fan for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints.
This PLA-made printed model took several hours of printing, sanding, and painting. As you can see from the final result, it was totally worth it.

Unlike many FDM printers, the Flashforge Dreamer has a heated print bed and closed print chamber, which means it can reliably print with ABS-type materials being protected from temperature fluctuations.

The Flashforge Dreamer prints with 1.75 mm filament, providing you with a wide choice of materials.
The build area of 9.1 x 5.9 x 5.5 inches (230 x 150 x 140 mm). Larger models can be printed in parts and then assembled together using acetone (for ABS) or glue (for PLA).
The printer is controlled via PC or the built-in LCD interface.
3D models can be printed from a computer via WiFi, Micro SD or USB.
The printer comes with the proprietary FlashPrint software. The program works with 3D models in STL and OBJ formats. It is available for Windows 7 and Mac OS X. Linux users may install a virtual machine to use it.

Flashforge Dreamer is available in white color with gray trims. Its stylish look makes it ideal for both home and professional use.
The printer dimensions are 19.1 x 13.2 x 15.8 inches (485 x 33.5 x 401 mm). It weighs 24.3 lb (11 kg). The spool holder is mounted inside the printer.
The price of the Flashforge Dreamer is $469.00, which is reasonable considering its functionality.
