The Flashforge Dreamer NX is an upgraded version of the company’s dual-extruder FDM 3D printer — Dreamer. Like the original, the device represents a closed-frame machine characterized by reliability of components, temperature stability, and high-resolution outputs. The newer model boasts extended heating capability for the patented direct drive extruder (240 °C compared to 120 °C), increased print speed, and build plate with remarkable heat distribution made of aluminum used in the aerospace industry.
The printer is equipped with a sufficient build area and closed chamber, which makes the Dreamer NX completely safe for families with kids and pets. The engineering-grade components provide high printing stability and consistency. With a decent print speed of 100 mm/s and standard nozzle size, the machine will become a valuable tool for a user-friendly 3D printing experience.

The Flashforge Dreamer NX can print layers at a minimum layer height of 100 μm. The surface finish is not as smooth as you get with the more expensive printers, but is more than enough for prototyping and household use. The 0.4 mm nozzle provides you with the best balance between speed and detail.
The machine is equipped with a patent direct drive extruder with special nozzle structure for reliable extrusion and better retraction, which ensures smooth and steady filament loading. The built-in turbo fan forms a circular air supply around the extruder, thus providing effective cooling and greatly improving overall print quality.
The enclosed structure and evenly heated bed (up to 120 °C) guarantee reduced model warping, temperature stability, and printing repeatability. The aluminum plate with long service life and great heat distribution eliminates common print failures, which results in precise 3D models, such as those presented below:
The Dreamer NX prints with standard 1.75 mm filament, such as PLA, ABS, PETG, and other composite materials. The Flashforge consumables are recommended for best compatibility, bright colors, and perfect print results. However, the machine works with almost all FDM materials currently available in the market.
Since the maximum extruder temperature can reach up to 240 °C, the machine ensures smooth and quality 3D printing with a wider range of filaments, for example, TPU. In addition, the Dreamer NX has a heated print bed and closed chamber, which means it can reliably print with ABS-type materials being protected from temperature fluctuations.
The build area of 9.1 x 5.9 x 5.5 inches (230 x 150 x 140 mm) lets you print small to medium models as a whole. Larger objects can be printed in several parts and then assembled together using acetone (for ABS) or glue (for PLA).
The Flashforge Dreamer NX can be operated via PC or a sensitive 3.5" touchscreen with an intuitive UI and convenient navigation. 3D models can be printed from a computer via Wi-Fi, SD card, or USB.
The printer comes with the proprietary FlashPrint slicing software specially developed for the company’s FDM devices. The program supports 3MF, STL, OBJ, FPP, BMP, PNG, JPG, and JPEG file formats. It is extremely easy to use and offers a convenient interface as well as a wide range of practical functions for fast, efficient, and smooth operation. These include auto repair, model cutting, advanced work with supports, rotation optimization, personalized relief design, image conversion, etc.
Moreover, the solution enables remote online operation management allowing you to monitor the progress of multiple print jobs in one interface at the same time.
