Dental Model Resin is a 3D printing photopolymer ideal for dental modelmaking and clear aligner manufacturing. It is an accurate material designed to produce high-precision outputs for clinical use, including crown and bridge models with removable dies. It is part of the Formlabs Dental Resins, a set of 3D printing materials tailored to digital dentistry. The introduction of SLA 3D printing in digital dentistry enabled the in-house same-day production of cost-effective, patient-fit dental models.
Formlabs Dental Model Resin is optimized for printing on Formlabs Form 2, Form 3 and Form 3B SLA 3D printers. It is capable of printing sharp margins and contacts and removable dies with a tight fit. The final models show smooth, matte surfaces rich in detail. They require post-curing. Continue reading for further details.

The special formulation of the Model Resin allows creating products with an accuracy within 35 microns at margins and contact point and 100 microns over the full arch, much more than required to meet the standard demand.
The resin prints at different resolutions: 25, 50, 100, and 140 microns. It is available in 1L cartridges.
Once post-cured, Dental Model Resin offers:
You can find additional information about the mechanical properties of the Model Resin in the technical data sheet available on the manufacturer’s website. Formlabs also provides accurate application guides for the proper use of Dental Model Resin.
