Rigid resin is a high-performance, reinforced photopolymer designed to perform under stress. It is enriched with glass powder for higher stiffness, better impact strength, and polished surface finish. It is the Formlabs resin with the highest tensile modulus. Its formulation provides high resistance to deformation and mechanical stress over a long period of time.
As part of the Engineering Resins library, Formlabs Rigid resin is perfect for printing thin, robust walls, housings, turbines, jigs and tools with a high level of accuracy. It has been formulated for printing on the Form 2 SLA 3D printer equipped with a Resin Tank LT. Read on for additional information.

Formlabs glass-filled Rigid resin can be printed at both 100 and 50 microns. While printing, you might smell a non-toxic pine-like scent. The final prints should be post-cured to maximize their mechanical properties. Rigid resin parts might be difficult to remove from the build platform. For this reason, you might warm the build plate with heated air to reduce the risk of breakage.
Rigid resin is incompatible with standard resin tanks. Thus, you have to print it using a Resin Tank LT for Form 2.

According to the manufacturer's technical data sheet, post-cured parts printed with Rigid resin feature:
Rigid resin parts should be put through a 15-minute IPA bath for washing. After drying completely, they can be post-cured according to the cure time and temperature settings recommended by the resin producer.
Formlabs Rigid resin gives the model a translucent milky white finish.
