The Massivit 10000 is an industrial-grade hybrid 3D printer for fast and efficient mass production of large tools and molds. The machine introduces a new proprietary Cast-In-Motion (CIM) technology in combination with Massivit 3D’s patented Gel Dispensing Printing (GDP) method, which allows printing and casting your mold simultaneously.
To achieve this, the model utilizes a dual-head system, ultra-fast patented technology, and high-performance thermoset materials. All these allow manufacturers to produce complex custom molds, plugs, mandrels, and prototypes as well as jigs and fixtures with their associated mold within a matter of days instead of weeks. Plus, the technology implies significantly less waste.
The device aims at facilitating the traditional molding process and reduces the number of necessary steps from 19 to only 4 by bringing digital transformation to composite manufacturing. With the build chamber of 1.42 x 1.11 x 1.5 m, two print heads, and high operation speed, it is possible to significantly shorten the production time of molds as well as tool and material costs.
Furthermore, thanks to economical handling of materials and stocks, the Massivit 10000 enables a reduced carbon footprint, decreases transportation and outsourcing requirements, and leaves no contamination traces in the used water.
Apart from the mentioned benefits, the machine is equipped with several subsystems making for a smooth working process. Thus, a ring-shaped UV system ensures even curing. It is also supplied with a water-cooling mechanism for effective operation inside a heated chamber (thermally-controlled up to 60 °C). Linear motors provide maximum speed and accuracy for the print head. A reliable static mixer is applied to thoroughly combine the components at the exact moment of casting. Finally, an automated casting system (CMS) dispenses the components according to the required ratio in a steady and uniform manner.
Due to the cutting-edge Cast-In-Motion technology, the Massivit 10000 enables direct tooling for a wide range of industries, including maritime, automotive, rail, construction, refurbishments, defense, sporting goods, bath and kitchen ware, aerospace, etc.
The user-friendly software interface and multiple automated functions simplify the printing process and allow creating large, complex objects in ultra-fast and highly detailed manner.
The Massivit 10000 uses a unique technology that allows it to print layers from 0.5 to 1.3 mm providing opportunities for high resolution mass printing.
The machine offers complete geometry freedom for complex molds, which allows production of function-oriented, intricate geometries with improved accuracy, consistency, and higher reliability.
The Massivit 10000 uses the proprietary water-breakable gel for an outer sacrificial shell in combination with proprietary high-performance, thermoset casting material for an isotropic mold. The company’s consumables boast outstanding mechanical and thermal properties as well as rapid curing capabilities.
The build area of 4.8 x 3.8 x 4.11 ft (1.42 x 1.11 x 1.5 m) lets you print huge, life-sized models of up to 300 kg in one go. Thanks to the chamber’s massive dimensions, it is possible to produce multiple large items as well.
The Massivit 10000 is equipped with an ultra-large HD touchscreen for comfortable control, with its intuitive interface allowing users to easily manage the printing process.
3D models can be printed from a computer via the local area network.
The machine comes with the integrated Massivit Smart software. The program works with 3D models in the common STL file format. Its clear and streamlined UI as well as handy automated functions will greatly facilitate the production. You can scale, rotate, and slice 3D files according to the chosen print settings, adjust print quality and speed. The Massivit Smart slicer is available for Windows.
The Massivit 10000 is available in a black and white color scheme. Its astonishing look makes it ideal for truly high endeavors in a number of industrial applications.
The printer dimensions are 10.2 x 7.3 x 10.2 ft (3.1 x 2.2 x 3.1 m). It weighs approximately 7716 lb (3500 kg).
