The Massivit 10000 is an industrial-grade hybrid 3D printer for fast and effective mass production of large tools and molds. The machine introduces a new proprietary Cast-in-Motion (CIM) technology in combination with Massivit 3D’s patented Gel Dispensing Printing (GDP) method which allows printing and casting your mold simultaneously.
The device aims at facilitating the traditional molding process and reduces the number of necessary steps from 19 to only 4. It makes for fast, efficient, and wasteless manufacturing with immense size and volume capabilities. With the build chamber of 120 х 150 х 165 cm, two print heads, and top operation speed, it is possible to significantly shorten the production time of molds as well as tool and material costs.
The tool pattern is created with a sacrificial, UV-curable gel by means of the GDP technology. The desired tool is made by casting any of a variety of dual-component thermoset engineering materials that closely match the mechanical and thermal process requirements. Once a printed tool is ready, it should be immersed in water for the sacrificial material to break off. This way, you get the desired mold which is ready for further use.
The Massivit 10000 provides expanded design options for large-scale mold production of function-oriented models with intricate geometries. It is suited to the tooling needs of a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace, marine, and energy that require manufacturing of large parts of composite materials.
