PhotoCentric Daylight Hard Resin Grey is a photosensitive material that solidifies when exposed to visible light. This photopolymer is perfect for producing hard parts with no compressive ability. It can be printed using a broad range of conventional light sources, especially LCD screens. It is a safe material that doesn’t require the use of UV light sources. It works with the own-brand Liquid Crystal Printers, special devices designed for visible-light-curing resin 3D printing. Specifically, it is compatible with PhotoCentric Liquid Crystal 10", Liquid Crystal HR and HR2.

Daylight hard resin prints retain their shape under stretch and pressure. They behave like acrylic and polyamide polymers featuring high hardness and almost no elongation. They show a light grey surface finish and crisp edges. They are subject to shrinkage.

PhotoCentric Daylight Hard Resin Grey is water-washable. Final prints can be cleaned using hot tap water instead of chemicals. Then, they can be left to harden in sunlight for 10 minutes. Daylight Hard Resin is ideal for model making and prototyping. Continue reading for additional details.

This hollow castle has been printed at 100 microns. It features 2mm thick walls and measures 130 x 140 x 210 mm. It took 29 hours and 25 minutes of print time.

PhotoCentric Daylight Hard Resin Grey

When using PhotoCentric Daylight Hard Resin you will get stiff parts with high tensile properties and low elongation. They will not bend or deflect. After a complete post-exposure, they will get a Shore D hardness of 77.

The resin cure profile has been optimized to deliver high-resolution details and acceptable shrinkage at fast exposures.

The Hard resin sells in 1kg bottles with a non-drip cap. Keep the material away from direct sunlight either when printing or storing it. You can reuse the excess polymer after pouring it through a filter.
