PhotoCentric Daylight Tough Resin Amber is a resilient material ideal for producing rigid parts capable of recoiling into their original shape after flexing, stretching, or being compressed. Tough prints don’t crack. Thanks to their flexibility, they change their shape cushioning shocks. They feature low shrinkage, moderate-to-high tensile shear properties, and good elongation. Flexible and strong, tough resin parts show a good resistance under stress and strain and great endurance.
As a visible-light-curing material, PhotoCentric Daylight Tough Resin polymerizes when exposed to any light with a wavelength belonging to the visible spectrum. This means it doesn’t require the use of UV light sources or other harmful engines. It benefits from fast curing time.
It has been optimized for effectively working on the PhotoCentric Liquid Crystal 3D printers lineup, including the PhotoCentric Liquid Crystal 10", Liquid Crystal HR and HR2. It is capable of reproducing the finest details your printer supports. Also, it delivers smooth surfaces with a pleasant translucent amber color finish.
This liquid resin can be dissolved in both water and soap. You can quickly and easily clean your prints by submerging them into water under UV light. Then, you should post-cure them in two steps. First, you should expose them under UV light at 60 °C for 1 hour. Then, put them inside a 60 °C oven overnight. After post-exposure, your prints will benefit from their maximum mechanical and tensile properties. Continue reading to find out more.
When using PhotoCentric Daylight Tough Resin you will get rigid parts with a good level of flexibility. When a specified force is applied, they bend and then recoil to their shape without breaking.
Tough resin cure profile has been optimized to deliver high-resolution details and acceptable shrinkage at fast exposures.
Daylight Tough resin sells in 1kg bottles with a non-drip cap. It is available in amber. Keep the material away from direct sunlight either when printing or storing it. You can reuse the excess polymer after pouring it through a filter.
When post-cured, Daylight Tough resin features:
