The Polyga Compact S1 Wide is a second version of the S1 entry-level desktop 3D scanner. Like the original model, the S1 Wide features a high-resolution projector and cameras, making for stunning accuracy and detail that are rarely to be found at this price point. Furthermore, this iteration is characterized by an enlarged field of view — it is twice as wide as in the standard version, which gives you more freedom to capture different-sized objects. The device collects up to 2,000,000 points per measurement and can support color scanning (custom-ordered).

The Polyga S1 Wide features an all-metal enclosure and industrial construction. It is a plug-and-play, factory-calibrated system providing reliable data for measurement and visualization purposes. The device is suited for a variety of applications: 3D modeling, basic quality inspection, reverse engineering, 3D measurement, comparison analysis, rapid prototyping, and more. Scan accuracy

The Polyga S1 Wide is a structured-light 3D scanner that has a pair of 2.0 megapixel cameras. The device allows you to scan objects with an accuracy of up to 50 microns and a point-to-point distance of 0.125 mm.

Scan volume

Similar to the S1 model, the Wide version features two scanning areas to capture objects of different sizes. It has an enlarged field of view of 155 x 125/255 x 205 mm, the stand-off distance being 300 mm. The objects scanned should be 100 to 600 mm in size.

Scanner controls

The Polyga S1 Wide operates through a plugged computer. The FlexScan3D software is the user interface to acquire and process scan data into a digital model. Convenient and effective, the program even includes basic quality inspection measurement tools for deviation analysis.

You can export scans into PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, and FBX file formats for downstream applications. Pair the scanner with the XTract3D add-in for SOLIDWORKS to extract measurement information from a part and create a CAD model.
