The PowerSpec i3 Plus, also called PowerSpec Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus, is a low-cost alternative to the original Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus. It is an updated version of the popular Duplicator i3, showing a handy touch interface on the front of the machine instead of a separate control box. It comes with a pre-assembled, full-metal frame that makes it strong and reliable. It features a working area of 200 x 200 x 400 mm and is capable of printing objects at 100 microns. It is a low-budget, accessible 3D printer bearing a good price/performance ratio and decent print quality.
The printer has been used to print a wide range of models. For example, one user printed a custom house for his little hamster.

The PowerSpec i3 Plus can print layers at 100 microns. The surface finish is not that smooth but is quite enough for prototyping and printing parts and models.
One user 3D printed some rubber feet for the printer itself. The models look good and smooth enough.

The print head moves on rods with linear bearings. It makes the design of the machine more simple and lightweight.
PowerSpec i3 Plus prints with ABS, PLA, PVA, HIPS, Nylon, and other materials.
The extruder comes with a fan for printing with PLA filaments.
Have a look at this set of Sailor Moon goodies. The different models look pretty accurate and well-defined.

The PowerSpec i3 Plus features a heated print platform, which makes it suitable for printing with ABS-type materials. But to ensure high reproducibility, we recommend installing an enclosed print chamber. This way the print quality would not be affected by temperature fluctuations.
The PowerSpec i3 Plus works with standard 1.75 mm filament. You are free to use any third-party material.
The working area of 7.9 x 7.9 x 7.1 inches (200 x 200 x 180 mm) lets you print various models of different sizes. You can even print them in parts to be assembled.
The printer can be controlled via PC or the built-in LCD interface located on the front of the 3D printer.
