Inspired by the modular, open-source Prusa i3 design, the standard printer can be easily upgraded with a variety of useful, high-quality components and features. You’ll only have to choose the add-ons that best match your printing preferences and your custom Pulse will be assembled on-demand, calibrated, tested and shipped. It comes ready-to-work out of the box. It arrives stock with a heated print bed with BuildTak surface and BLTouch auto-calibration system. The standard version is ideal for newbies and students, giving them the possibility to print with PLA-type materials. With the right enhancements, it will be able to handle PLA, PETG, Nylon, ABS, and more. Still, the sound dampers, the additional LCD and the variety of nozzles available will make your printing experience easier. Also, you’ll only pay for the add-ons you choose. According to its specs and countless upgrades, it can be used by anyone. It’s been used to print a wide variety of models, including fashion accessories, home decorations, toys, sculpts, functional components, and others. Find out more in our deeper review.

For example, one user 3D printed some cool pirates mouse ears. This complex, full of details design turned out really good showing clear shapes and smooth surfaces.

Print quality

The Pulse is an FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 20 microns. This way you can produce parts with smooth exterior surfaces. Some of the best-in-class upgrades available include industry-leading parts, such as the Bondtech Extruder and Olsson Ruby Nozzle, which grant high-quality printing results even with specialty materials.

The print head runs on rods with linear bearings, making the design more simple, lightweight and effective, all characteristics that are desirable in a 3D printer.

Materials

The standard Pulse prints with PLA, HIPS and other materials.

The extruder comes with a fan for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints.

The BuildTak sheet applied to the heated bed enhances first layer adhesion reducing the risk of spending filaments and time for failure prints.
