The QIDI TECH Shadow 5.5 S is a desktop MSLA 3D printer. Sold at an affordable price, this good-quality UV-light curing printer provides a seamless yet effective 3D printing experience to anyone. It comes ready to print just after unboxing and is really easy to use. It can be easily controlled via the integrated color TFT touch screen.

The Shadow 5.5 S shows a red-and-gold rounded design. The main body is composed of quality CNC-machined aluminum parts. The red-tinted masking cover is made of acrylic. The device is equipped with a UV-LED light source with a wavelength of 405nm. It features a build volume of 115 x 65 x 150 mm and a 2K LCD panel (2,540 x 1,440 pixels). This results in an XY resolution of 47 microns. The platform runs on a stable dual Z-axis with linear guides.

The machine includes an effective air circulation system with a dual-fan mechanism and activated carbon air filter bags. This reduces particle and fume emissions, making for a scent-free 3D printing experience.

Print quality

The QIDI TECH Shadow is a desktop MSLA resin printer equipped with a 2K HD masking screen, made of tempered glass. The Shadow 5.5 S can print layers at 10 microns. This way you can produce parts with smooth exterior surfaces and tiny details.

The dual Z-axis configuration grants high stability to the whole structure, delivering an accuracy of 0.00125 mm.

Materials

The QIDI TECH Shadow prints with 405nm UV resin. For an improved 3D printing experience, the company formulated a special series of low-odor liquid resins.

 

Build volume

The build volume of 4.5 x 2.5 x 5.9 inches (115 x 65 x 150 mm) lets you print small parts with an exceptional level of detail, just like the below-pictured figure.
