The RangeVision PRO Base is a professional structured light 3D scanner. It features four different fields of view, which make it capable of scanning objects of any size and shape. This versatile 3D scanning device has a great price/performance ratio. It can scan from small rings to large cars with an accuracy of up to 0.018mm.

The PRO Base uses blue light 3D scanning technology and benefits from superior calibration mechanisms. It is engineered with a 2MP camera, the unique feature that makes it different from the RangeVision PRO 5M. By switching from a field of view to another, it gives you the possibility to scan small, medium, or large objects with an incredible level of detail. The RangeVision PRO Base gets accurate data that can be immediately turned into ready-to-use 3D models. Its flexibility and adaptability make it ideal for several applications in multiple fields. For example, the PRO Base can be used to scan items for quality control, product design, education, and more.

The scanner comes bundled with all the necessary tools, including a portable case and the own-brand professional ScanCenter software with unlimited license and free updates. It includes built-in post-processing features to quickly align and merge your scans into a complete 3D model without the need for external software. Read our RangeVision PRO Base review to learn more about this scanner.

The PRO Base has been used to reverse engineer a propeller. Due to its shiny surfaces, the propeller has been covered with a matte spray.

Thanks to the structured-light technology, the engineers have been able to obtain high-accurate data. Look at the picture to see the result.

Specifically, by selecting the FOV of 460 x 345 x 345mm, the PRO Base can scan parts with an accuracy of 0.06 mm and a 3D resolution of 0.19 mm at a working distance of 900 mm.

The FOV of 300 x 225 x 225 mm has an accuracy of 0.03 mm and a resolution of 0.12 mm at a working distance of 520 mm.

With both the fields of view of 133 x 100 x 100 and 66 x 50 x 50 mm, you can get an accuracy of 0.018 mm and a 3D resolution of 0.06 and 0.03 mm at a distance of 350 mm.
