MODELA MDX-50 is a CNC milling machine. It is capable of milling functional parts with an engineering-grade quality on a variety of resins and chemical waxes. It employs an auto-sensing system able to adjust the tool length providing high milling precision.
It is equipped with a stepper motor and a brushless DC spindle motor with a rotation speed range of 4,500 to 15,000 rpm. Thus, it provides smooth operation even at high rotating speeds.
It can be upgraded by attaching an optional, proprietary rotary axis, which includes self-centering headstock and tailstock workpiece clamps. The additional axis is optimized for milling complex parts. It automatically rotates the workpieces 360 degrees.
The MODELA MDX-50 can mill ABS, POM, nylon, plastic foam, modeling wax, PVC, wood composites, plywood, hardwood, acetal, and other materials.

The work area is 15.8 x 12 x 5.3 inches (400 x 305 x 135 mm). It lets you process small-to-medium workpieces within a maximum size of 15.8 x 12 x 3.9 (400mmx 305 x 100mm). It also enables batch production of multiple items.
The CNC machine features an integrated control panel for direct, standalone operation. It also includes VPanel, a virtual control panel that provides all the functionalities available on the physical controller plus other quality-of-life features. It includes a smart email notification system for constant updates about the machine status.
The machine supports G-code NC programming language. This makes it ideal for professional and educational use. It features multi color LED status light notifications.
MODELA MDX-50 includes two useful programs, SRP Player Cam and ClickMill. The former is simple to configure and use. It allows milling in just five steps. It works independently, without the need for a CAD or CAM software.
