The EinScan Pro 2X Plus offers a maximum single-scan range of 312 x 204 mm and works at a minimum point distance of 0.2 mm. Its volumetric accuracy in Handheld HD Scan mode is 0.05 mm + 0.3 mm/m, which is terrific.
In case you wish to upgrade the scanner, you can order it with the Prime, Industrial, and Color Packs.
The Color Pack add-on provides you with an additional HD camera that lets you take full-color scans while also capturing the texture of a scanned object.
Up next, the Industrial Pack addon includes an automatic turntable and a tripod, completing a setup for rapidly-paced scanning of small and medium-sized objects.
The HD Prime Pack features an additional camera that enhances the EinScan Pro 2X Plus’s precision and lets it capture even more details. Not only it allows for markers-free scanning in Handheld HD mode, but it also contributes to the overall scanning efficiency, increasing the scanning speed by 30%. However, the HD Prime camera can’t be used together with the Color Pack.
There is also the FootStation Pack designed to deliver high accuracy scans along with detailed foot analysis reports that cover more than 30 points. The FootStation Pack is a perfect addition in case you plan to use the scanner for orthotics, prosthetics, footwear, and other related applications. Besides, it can also be used to scan other body parts.

The EinScan Pro 2X Plus is a compact handheld 3D scanner that operates through a plugged computer. The scanner has been integrated with an intuitive UI for effortless scanning sessions, let alone the fact that the device weighs just 1.13kg, allowing for quick and easy transportation.
The EinScan Pro 2X Plus is packaged with new proprietary software, ExScan Pro. It offers an intuitive UI, a simplified workflow, and a fast 3D scanning experience. At the beginning of each scan, you can choose the scanning method you prefer. Then, the program automatically launches the right instructions to get started. The software also features a new Operation Mode that lets you speed up the scanning speed while setting the final resolution at the end of the process. In this way, it improves the scanning efficiency for a faster experience. The program supports a variety of formats, including STL, OBJ, PLY, ASC, and P3.
Moreover, the scanner is supplied with the Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition. It is a 3D design software that can be used to assist with reverse engineering, generative design, convergent and synchronous modeling.
For mesh editing, we strongly recommend acquiring the Geomagic Essentials software for its many tools to analyze and clean mesh data. Scan data is often-times imperfect, meaning there might be holes and imperfections in the data that you'll be scratching your head on how to fix. The ExScan software and SolidEdge does have a toolkit for fixing meshes but it is not as extensive or automatic as the tools in Geomagic Essentials. You will save a lot of time with the full Scan to CAD process with Geomagic Essentials in between, not to mention it is much more effective at working with large-sized files. The standard CAD software suites such as Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, etc. tend to have problems with large-sized mesh files.
There are two ways Geomagic Essentials help with reverse engineering. If your focus is on solid modeling you can use GE to extract CAD data (surfaces and solids) and curve data (wire-frame geometry) from triangular meshes (scan data). The region and feature extraction toolkit will help you extract faces or bounded surfaces and export into an IGES or STP format. The curve drawing tools will help you extract wire-frame geometry and export to IGES format. These two datasets along with the scan file is essential for a reverse engineering workflow. The NURBS surfacing tool also helps create a lightweight CAD model that you can export to an STP file for SolidWorks. This is especially helpful if your focus is on free-form modeling because you can freely manipulate the surface data in Geomagic and most CAD programs.
Having such powerful tools at your disposal, you will be in a strong position to execute complex projects.
