Ultimaker blue PLA is an easy-to-print strong 3D printing filament based on the Polylactic Acid polymer. It is made from renewable resources. This means it is completely biodegradable and environmentally friendly. When printed, it doesn’t produce fumes or emissions being perfect for kids and adults alike. Its ease of printing depends both on its low melting temperature and purity. You can print it either on a cold or heated bed using the FDM 3D printer you prefer. When printed on a heated build plate, the recommended bed temperature is 60°C.
Ultimaker blue PLA is really versatile. It can be used to produce a broad range of different models giving you wide design flexibility. It can be printed at high speeds always delivering a good surface quality. It offers good flexural and impact strength. Its purity and precise diameter of 2.85mm let it flow smoothly reducing the risk of clogging caused by impurities or thread deformations. It produces flawless and dimensionally accurate prints with a smooth blue finish brilliant in color.
Many makers, designers and engineers use Ultimaker PLA filaments for rapid prototyping, design proofing, investment casting, and more.
