Ultimaker 3 is one of the best 3D printers in 2019. It’s a new generation machine by Ultimaker. The machine is equipped with two extruders that provide the ability to work with a wide range of engineering materials, including nylon and water-soluble PVA-plastic. It allows for printing in two colours.
The build area is 215 x 215 x 200 mm when printing with one nozzle and 197 x 215 x 200 mm when printing with dual extrusion. Ultimaker 3 is equipped with the material recognition system with the NFC detection technology. The printer is shipped pre-calibrated so manual leveling is not required.
The choice of many professionals, it is successfully used in many industries, from manufacturing to architectural design. The Royal Netherlands Air Force to print custom tools designed to perform quality control.

The Ultimaker 3 has a minimum layer resolution of 20 microns, creating high quality models like the one below. This is a great example of heritage preservation. The 850-year-old Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, which was destroyed by fire in April 2019, was reproduced on the Ultimaker 3 3D printer. The model consists of 4 parts and took 120 hours to build.

The Ultimaker 3 has 4 nozzles of 0.8, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.25 mm in diameter, giving you the best balance between speed and detail. For example, look at this Sierpinski pyramid. It is made of 46.5 thousand tiny pyramids and took about 20 hours to build.
The print head runs on rods with linear bearings, making the design more simple, lightweight and effective, all characteristics that are desirable in a 3D printer.
Ultimaker 3 prints with Nylon, PLA, ABS, CPE, CPE+, PVA, PC, TPU 95A, PP, Breakaway and other materials.
This gun prototype was printed with black 1.75 mm PLA filament. Surely, in parts first and assembled together later on. One of the reasons why the Ultimaker 3 is able to produce quality parts is because it comes with a powerful fan.

Unlike many FDM printers, the Ultimaker 3 has a heated print bed and closed print chamber, which means it can reliably print with ABS-type materials.
For example, the model below was partly printed with an ABS filament.
The Ultimaker 2 Extended prints with 2.85 mm filament, providing you with a wide choice of materials.
The build area of 8.5 x 8.5 x 7.9 inches (215 x 215 x 200 mm) lets you print a large number of various objects. Even dinosaurs:

The printer is controlled via PC or the built-in LCD interface.
3D models can be printed from computer via Ethernet, USB cable or WIFI.
The printer is compatible with Cura software and works with 3D models in STL, OBJ, DAE and AMF formats. The software is available for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux.
Ultimaker 3 is available in white color.
The printer dimensions are 215 x 215 x 200 mm. It weighs 23 lb (10.6 kg). The spool holder is mounted on the back of the printer.
The price of the Ultimaker 3 is $5,000.00, which is reasonable considering its functionality.
