Wanhao Duplicator 9 prints with HIPS, PLA, PVA and other materials.
The direct extruder comes with a fan for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints.
The Wanhao D9 300 and D9 400 come stock with a double-sided, heated print bed, composed of a lattice glass side and PVC mat side. The Duplicator D9/500 Mark II uses a one-sided, PVC mat heated bed. The heatable platform makes them suitable for printing with ABS-type materials.

To ensure high reproducibility, we recommend installing an enclosed print chamber. It uniformly distributes heat avoiding environmental inconsistencies. This way the print quality would not be affected by temperature fluctuations as a result of drafts and other factors. The producer provides specific insulating tents for the D9 series.
