The xTool Laserbox is a powerful laser cutting and engraving machine equipped with a 40 W CO₂ laser tube providing impressive operating speed up to 350 mm/s and the precision of 0.05 mm. The built-in 5 MP camera provides a live preview of the working area, ensuring precise positioning of the object to be cut or engraved. With the material recognition function, the Laserbox can automatically set the processing parameters if you are using the official materials marked with a barcode. In case of utilizing uncertified materials, the machine initiates visual identification and detects material thickness to precisely adjust autofocus. You can customize new material settings and save them for future use.
Image extraction is another interesting feature of the Laserbox. It captures the design from any object placed inside the machine for further cutting or engraving. This works great for children’s artwork, for example. The Laserbox supports direct operation without using software. Just draw your design with black and red markers on a paper sheet or directly on the object you are going to work with. Red lines are recognized for cutting and black ones for engraving.
The xTool Laserbox was designed to ensure safe operation, so it can be used even by children under adult supervision. Once the lid is open, the machine is immediately put on hold. It can resume working when the lid is closed again without the need to start over. Eight high-performance sensors warn the user in case of too high laser temperature, an error in the water cooling system, filter cartridge clogging, and other risks.
The machine comes with the xTool RA2 Pro — a versatile 4-in-1 rotary attachment allowing you to engrave on cylinder, sphere, or ring objects, like glasses or balls, with a diameter of 3–70 mm. The tool includes roller, chuck, sphere, and ring rotaries for different shapes.
The xTool Smoke Purifier is connected to the Laserbox and equipped with a large, 250 x 195 x 390 mm, filter with three-layer filtration including activated carbon and HEPA filters. It efficiently absorbs dust particles, toxic fumes, and unpleasant odors, so that you can use the machine in a closed space without additional ventilation. The device allows adjusting the suction power and works very quietly, with the noise level not exceeding 55 dB.
Now let us look at some examples of what the Laserbox is capable of.
The xTool Laserbox is compatible with a wide range of materials, including but not limited to paper, corrugated paper, wood, acrylic, cloth, denim, leather, ABS, PET, rubber, cork, and plastic for cutting, and even a longer list for engraving, adding to the previously mentioned materials sandpaper, food, glass, delrin, ceramic, coated metal, and others. You can find the list of compatible materials and the optimal settings on the manufacturer’s website.
The working area of 500 x 300 mm is large enough for most home or business projects as well as for batch production of smaller items. The maximum workpiece height is 52 mm, and 22 mm with a Honeycomb tray.
In the nearest right corner on top of the machine there is an operating button with an annular LED indicator. The power, USB, Ethernet, and aviation ports, as well as the power switch are on the back side.
The machine can be connected to the PC using Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet and is controlled through the software.
The machine works with the proprietary xTool Laserbox engraving software which supports more than 10 file formats and provides all the necessary editing and control functions. Laserbox is compatible with Windows and macOS.
Thanks to the wide range of compatible materials, the xTool Laserbox can be used for various design tasks.
