The Creality K2 Plus Combo is a professional desktop FDM 3D printer aimed at high-speed production with increased stability and reliability in mind. Print quality

The Creality K2 Plus Combo can print layers with heights ranging from 50 to 300 micron. The upgraded Z-axis offers more accurate positioning and effectively reduces Z-banding that provides increased stability and precision, with impeccable print quality for any project.

One of the key features of the K2 Plus Combo is its stunning print speed up to 600 mm/s, due to which the printer significantly cuts printing time and uses less energy for the same output being an eco-friendly solution. Moreover, with 30000 mm/s² acceleration, the machine ramps up to its full speed in only 0.03 s, delivering maximum performance for 90% of the work.

To deliver exceptional performance, the K2 Plus Combo model is equipped with FOC closed-loop servo motors that drive the extruder and all XYZ axes of the machine. These motors offer high torque and quick response, providing stable operation with an accuracy of 32,768 microsteps for each revolution as well as the average operating noise of ≤50 dB at standard speed. In addition, variable voltage technology reduces heating and prevents clogs caused by overheating.

The all-metal dual-gear direct drive extruder of the K2 Plus Combo ensures precise and smooth material extrusion thanks to triple heat protection. Maintaining print temperatures up to 350 °C, this extruder in combination with the active chamber heater and heatbed with the maximum temperature of 120 °Ð¡ allows one to utilize high-performance materials for more demanding applications.

Due to a unibody die-cast aluminum alloy frame, the machine boasts increased stability and durability. With the nimble CoreXY with a lightweight printhead, the K2 Plus Combo is able to withstand high-speed motion inertia, which makes for failure-free steady printing for many hours.

To ensure precise platform alignment, the Creality K2 Plus Combo is equipped with two optical distance sensors on the Z-axis for automated tilt adjustment and a strain gauge in the printhead for auto leveling. This setup enables accurate leveling with less compensation. Moreover, the printer’s aluminum heatbed is 5mm thick and hard to deform, which guarantees the enhanced leveling accuracy.

Materials

The Creality K2 Plus Combo features impressive material compatibility. Thanks to its advanced heating capacity with the active chamber heater (up to 60 °Ð¡), the machine can successfully print with a wide range of filaments, from regular to engineering ones, ensuring high dimensional accuracy and surface quality. The list of supported materials includes ABS, PLA, PETG, PET, TPU, PA, ASA, PC, PLA-CF, PA-CF, and PET-CF. This variability allows the user to choose the most appropriate material for any specific purpose.

Thanks to the innovative four-color material management system called CFS (Creality Filament System), the K2 Plus Combo is capable of high-quality multi-color and multi-material printing. The system has 4 spool slots and can automatically load and unload filaments, eliminating the need for manual replacements. The CFS also features automatic RFID material recognition and can be used as a well-sealed drying box to store filament spools. With the maximum CFC connection of 4 units at once, the machine provides 16-color printing and limitless creative possibilities for both hobbyists and professionals. 

Please note that flexible materials such as TPU and moisture sensitive filaments like PVA/BVOH are not supported by CFS.

To make sure heating of the platform is fast, even, and safe, the K2 Plus heatbed adopts an 800W high-power AC heating system with double safeguards. There is an overheating fuse under the heatbed, which will automatically disconnect in overheating, as well as a fuse in the machine body. When an unexpected situation occurs, it will disconnect to ensure safety when dealing with high-performance materials.

The Creality K2 Plus Combo 3D printer offers a capacious build area of 13.8 x 13.8 x 13.8 inches (350 x 350 x 350 mm) that lets you produce a single large model or a wide variety of small-to-medium sized prints in batches without the need of splitting them, which makes for time-saving and increased productivity.

Printer controls and software

The Creality K2 Plus Combo 3D printer features a 4.3" color touchscreen with a clear menu structure and intuitive interface. Data input is performed via USB drive, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi. Furthermore, with a network connection, the printer can be controlled or monitored through the integrated AI camera remotely from Creality Print or Creality Cloud APP/WEB software, with a cluster control option available. In case of print completion or any issues, an instant notice will be sent to the user’s phone or PC.
