The Delta WASP 60100 HDP is an industrial large-format 3D printer based on FGF technology (Fused Granular Fabrication) and designed to print directly from thermoplastic pellets in high definition and at high speeds up to 200 mm/s. The pneumatically loaded HDP extruder provides the impressive output of 500 g/h. Combined with the printer’s continuous feeding system and remote monitoring functionality due to a built-in camera and Wi-Fi module, the machine offers high productivity and cost-efficient printing of big objects 24/7, which makes it compliant with Industry 4.0 standards.

To provide precise, reliable, and silent operation, the model is equipped with top-quality components, including a new heavy-duty extruder, potent motor drivers, and quiet stepper motors. A frameless tempered glass door with a certified protection film, active heated chamber, and advanced water cooling system ensure optimal conditions for printing sensitive materials. The machine’s chassis is now covered with laminated safety glass for thermo-acoustic insulation. Furthermore, the dedicated fume extraction unit with HEPA, activated carbon, and dust filters creates a clean and pleasant working environment.

The user experience has been further simplified with the adoption of a 7" TFT touch screen and LED status bar located at the top. In addition, the machine comes with a number of quality-of-life features, such as a self-developed vacuum retention system for the build plate, automated leveling, resume printing function, integrated tutorial videos, and remote intervention of the WASP technicians in case of issues.

Considering the above-mentioned properties, the Delta WASP 60100 HDP will become a perfect tool for industrial and creative use in specialized workshops, design studios, educational centers, medical and research institutions, etc.

Print quality

The Delta WASP 60100 HDP model can print layers at 100–1500 micron, giving you freedom to produce a wide variety of plastic prototypes and functional parts.

Due to new motor drivers that make for enhanced precision and quiet operation, durable carbon arms, and powerful stepper motors, the printer boasts improved stability and accuracy. The laminated safety glass door and advanced control system provide outstanding thermal stability for the chamber, which guarantees smooth workflow with temperature sensitive materials, such as ABS.

Materials

The Delta WASP 60100 HDP model uses plastic pellets of standard, technical, and recycled thermoplastics materials (3 mm in diameter), providing you with a wide choice of proprietary and third-party consumables, including PLA, ABS, PET, PLA wood, and ASA. The pellet granules are 10x cheaper than filaments. Apart from this, they greatly reduce printing time without compromising on quality.

Thanks to the machine’s liquid-cooled high-temperature extruder that is able to reach up to 500 °C as well as the patented FIRECAP localized heated chamber system installed on the effector (200 °C), the 60100 HDP model can reliably print with high-temperature polymers ensuring perfect infra-layer adhesion, low risk of distortions, and excellent surface quality even for the most demanding materials. By introducing the heat only where necessary, this smart system also effectively minimizes energy consumption.

Equipped with a pneumatic continuous feeding system guided by a capacitive sensor, the Delta WASP 60100 HDP 3D printer has sophisticated pressurized material transport capabilities. The machine provides a controlled and reliable flow to the extruder, contributing to printing automation, increased productivity, and high-quality prints.

Build volume

The massive build area of 23.6 inches (600 mm) in diameter and 39.4 inches (1000 mm) in height lets you produce large parts in one go without splitting the 3D model into several pieces. The capacitive sensor will detect the shortage of material and request it from the main tank (35 L) on the side of the machine ensuring a non-stop printing process.

Due to the innovative vacuum retention system VAC (Vacuum Active Control), it is possible to replace the printing plate in just a few seconds, ensuring convenient and streamlined printing even at high temperatures. The VAC also makes for using build plates of different types compatible with the material used, ensuring excellent adhesion for each individual project. Once the print is finished, the VAC automatically releases the plate that can be curved manually.

Printer controls and software

The Delta WASP 60100 HDP 3D printer is equipped with a 7" TFT touch screen with a clear user-friendly interface. The 60 LED RGB bar at the top of the printer provides information on the working status of the machine. Moreover, the model is engineered with a built-in camera that makes for remote monitoring of the process.

The machine supports Wi-Fi, LAN, and USB connectivity. One can manage the device directly via a mobile phone, tablet, or computer.

In terms of slicing software, the Delta WASP 60100 HDP comes with the license included. This professional slicer contains all the necessary tools one needs to work with 3D models, including a G-code analyzer and automated error recognition algorithms. The program features simple controls and a short learning curve. It supports STL, OBJ, and 3MF file formats and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Moreover, the machine is compatible with Cura, Slic3r, and AiSync.
