Print quality

The IEMAI3D FAST-JET-780 is an industrial-grade FGF 3D printer that can print layers at the minimum height of 300 micron. This way one can produce large objects such as furniture pieces with relatively smooth exterior surfaces, which is more than enough for most applications of life-size models. The machine is engineered with an efficient, precise feeding system that allows steady and uniform extrusion at a fast print speed of up to 6 kg/hour.

The FAST-JET-780 pellet 3D printer is equipped with a single extruder with the maximum hotend temperature up to 300 °C. Due to the modular extrusion system design, the machine provides simple maintenance and ability to equip a high-flow pellet extruder for massive prints.

The IEMAI3D FAST-JET-780 comes stock with a 2.0 mm nozzle. It also supports additional nozzle diameters of 1.0 and 3.0 mm, which ensures wider project diversity.

For consistent print quality and user convenience, the FAST-JET-780 is equipped with a fixed glass build plate (FR4 epoxy glass platform with vacuum absorption is optional). Thanks to this solution, the printer produces high-quality models with great adhesion and a smooth, fine bottom.

Materials

The IEMAI3D FAST-JET-780 features an open material system and supports the majority of 1–3 mm pellets available on the market, including standard, flexible, and high-performance materials, such as PLA, CF-PLA, ABS, TPU, PETG, PA, CF-PA, PC, CF-PC, PP, and more.

Pellet printing provides the user with a possibility of rapid material change, allowing for the combination of different plastics in a single project. Printing with pellets, especially made of recycled plastics, is not only faster but also more efficient in terms of material cost and post-processing (sanding, drilling, etc.).

Equipped with a 120 °C heatable platform and fully enclosed build chamber, the FAST-JET-780 model provides reduced risk of warping and stringing as well as higher reliability when printing with advanced consumables. The closed-box design also reduces printing noises making for quiet operation. 

Build volume

The IEMAI3D FAST-JET-780 3D printer offers a generous build area of 39.4 x 36.2 x 30.7 inches (1000 x 920 x 780 mm). This lets one produce a single large model or a wide variety of small-to-medium sized prints in batches without the need of splitting them, which makes for time-saving and increased productivity.

Printer controls and software

The IEMAI3D FAST-JET-780 can be controlled via an integrated full-color LCD touchscreen with a clear menu structure and intuitive user interface. Data input is performed via USB, Ethernet (LAN), or Wi-Fi. With an optional camera, it is possible to remotely monitor the printing process.

The machine is built with a separate control panel for each of the three extruder heating zones.

The FAST-JET-780 3D printer comes bundled with the proprietary IEMAI 3D EXPERT software based on OrcaSlicer. The program features project-oriented workflows, optimized printing parameters, and user-friendly graphical interface allowing for effortless printing procedures. It supports STL, OBJ, and 3MF file formats and runs on Windows (64-bit version only). Apart from this, the printer is compatible with such popular slicers as Cura and Simplify3D.

Look and feel

The IEMAI3D FAST-JET-780 pellet 3D printer is available in white with orange and black trimmings. Its stylish look and ergonomic design make it ideal for a variety of advanced industrial applications.
