The Intamsys PC is an engineering-grade polycarbonate based filament designed by the Intamsys company specifically for FDM printing. The material offers high mechanical strength and impact resistance. It is resistant to temperature fluctuations and harsh weather conditions which makes it a perfect choice for various engineering applications.
Polycarbonate is widely used for manufacturing of household items, consumer products, and sports equipment, like ski clamp parts or helmets. It is also suitable for medical appliances production where it successfully replaces glass or metal. It is a great material to make food storage containers that are microwave and dishwasher-safe.
The recommended extruder temperature for printing the Intamsys PC filament is 250–270 °C. The printer should be equipped with a heated print bed and an enclosed build chamber. Active cooling is required during printing to avoid warpage.
