The Intamsys Victrex AM™ 200 utilizes LMPAEK (Low-Melt PolyArylEtherKetone) technology engineered specifically for additive manufacturing. This semi-crystalline polymer achieves a melting temperature of 303 °C compared to 343 °C for traditional PEEK, enabling a wider processing window without compromising mechanical properties. The Victrex AM™ 200 demonstrates glass transition temperatures of 151 °C onset and 154 °C midpoint with crystallization occurring at 249 °C.
The material achieves tensile modulus values of 2300–3700 MPa in XY orientation and tensile yield strength of 45–70 MPa depending on print conditions and annealing. Z-direction strength exceeds 60% of XY tensile strength, significantly improving isotropic properties compared to conventional PEEK filaments. The optimized crystallization profile prevents internal stresses and warpage while allowing superior interlayer bonding.
The Victrex AM™ 200 processes at nozzle temperatures of 380–400 °C with bed temperatures of 20–40 °C above chamber temperature, maintaining below 150 °C for amorphous printing. Semi-crystalline parts require chamber temperatures above 150 °C or post-print annealing at 170–180 °C for 2–4 hours. The material demonstrates melt viscosity of 245 Pa·s at 400 °C and requires drying at 120 °C for 5 hours before processing.
Aerospace applications include brackets, manifolds, and HVAC ducts requiring temperature and corrosion resistance, according to Stratasys from aerospace applications validation. Automotive applications encompass complex designs benefiting from reduced machining waste and optimized flow patterns. Medical applications utilize the material’s chemical resistance and sterilization compatibility for demanding environments.
The Intamsys Victrex AM™ 200 1.75 mm filament is sold in 500 g / 1 kg spools. It comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
