The Intamsys WANHUA PA12 utilizes Wanhua Chemical’s WANAMID™ PA12 resin engineered for superior 3D printing performance. This semi-crystalline polyamide 12 achieves a melting temperature of 178 °C and glass transition temperature of 43 °C, delivering exceptional processability compared to higher-temperature nylons. The material demonstrates tensile strength values ranging from 45–55 MPa with outstanding elongation at break of 200–300%, providing excellent toughness and impact resistance.
WANHUA PA12 exhibits the lowest water absorption rate among all nylon materials at 0.7% balanced absorption, significantly lower than PA6 at 3.5% and PA66 at 2.5%. This low moisture sensitivity ensures excellent dimensional stability with minimal warpage during printing and long-term dimensional accuracy in service. The material maintains mechanical properties across a wide temperature range with continuous use temperatures up to 95 °C and short-term resistance to 150 °C.
The material serves automotive applications including fuel lines, brake tubing, and pneumatic systems requiring chemical resistance and flexibility. Electronics applications encompass cable sheathing and insulating components benefiting from excellent electrical insulation properties. Consumer goods applications include sports equipment, eyewear frames, and flexible packaging requiring impact resistance and dimensional stability. Industrial applications feature pneumatic tubing, gaskets, and sealing components demanding chemical resistance and low-temperature performance.
The Intamsys WANHUA PA12 1.75 mm filament is sold in 1 kg spools. It comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
