The Designer X PRO is an FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 50 microns. This way you can produce parts with smooth exterior surfaces. It offers an extended operating temperature range suited for temperature-sensitive materials and resistant prints. The Designer X PRO is engineered with two different nozzles for multi-material and multi-color printing. Both nozzles measure 0.3 mm in diameter and can produce fine details.
The machine employs a new print head with a switching accuracy of 1 micron. It grants a nozzle positioning repeatability of 0.001mm ± 0.0025mm. It runs on rails, making the design more simple, lightweight and effective, all characteristics that are desirable in a 3D printer.
Designer X PRO features a new directional material feed design and a high-temperature extruder. Thus, it supports a large selection of filaments, namely PLA, ABS, Elastic( Flex ), Nylon, ASA, ABS/PC, PET, PC, and other materials.

The extruder can heat to a maximum temperature of 380°C. It comes with a fan for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints.
Unlike many FDM printers, the Designer X PRO has a heated print bed and closed print chamber, which means it can reliably print with ABS-type materials. The print platform reaches an operating temperature of 140°C.
The extruder has a maximum working temperature of 716 °F (380 °C), which means it can print with high-temperature materials like PEEK, ABS/PC, PEI, carbon fiber and glass fiber.
The Designer X PRO prints with 1.75 mm filament. It is compatible with all the commercial consumables available on the market, providing you with a wide choice of materials.
The build area of 7.9 x 7.9 x 8.3 inches (200 x 200 x 210 mm) lets you print just about anything, even some functional, real-scale hoverboard parts.

The printer is controlled via PC or the built-in LCD interface.
3D models can be printed from computer via USB and Ethernet connection. You can also print them via a USB Flash Drive.
The printer works with the Polygon X software. It supports STL and PLG 3D model formats. It runs on Windows operating systems. Mac OS X and Linux users will have to install a virtual machine.
