The Piocreat G40 is an industrial-grade FGF 3D printer that merges large-format, high-speed pellet printing with CNC five-axis manufacturing. This hybrid additive manufacturing and milling system employs FGF (Fused Granulate Fabrication) technology, which is similar to FDM with the difference in the form of thermoplastics used. While FDM 3D printers utilize plastic filaments, which are normally made from granules, or pellets, FGF machines print directly with pellets, thus ensuring faster build speed compared to conventional filament extrusion, lower material costs, shorter lead times, and eco-friendly production.
Being an innovative combination of additive and subtractive machine, the Piocreat G40 3D prints large-scale workpieces nearly to final size and then mills them to precise specifications. This further enhances production speed, cuts costs, and optimizes material usage.
To provide a multifaceted and streamlined 3D printing experience, the G40 model is equipped with a self-developed high-temperature screw extruder, providing stable material flow up to 25 kg per hour and strong extrusion force without nozzle clogging. The integrated automatic material feeding system with additional drying and dehumidification functions ensures rapid material supply 24/7 and reduced downtime. Such features as a large sensitive touchscreen with user-friendly interface, pellet run-out detection, and print resume after a power outage make for smooth and stable performance of the machine.
Due to its efficient hybrid nature, massive build volume, impressive print speed, six-zone heated bed, and high-temperature extruder, the Piocreat G40 is a great choice for producing full-size models, functional parts, patterns, molds, and prototypes in batches. The machine can be widely used in rapid prototyping, environmental art and design, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and marine industries.
The Piocreat G40 large-format FGF 3D printer is capable of printing layers with a thickness of 0.2–1.0 mm. This way one can produce large parts with relatively smooth exterior surfaces, which is more than enough for most applications of life-size models, especially in combination with the G40’s CNC machining capabilities.
The G40 pellet 3D printer is engineered with a high-flow extrusion system equipped with 3–8 mm screw nozzles. It can achieve high flow rates up to 25 kg/h without sacrificing print quality, with gantry precision up to ±0.02/1000 mm, printing speed of 10m/min and processing speed of 15m/min. This rapid and reliable production rate is ideal for additive and subtractive manufacturing on an industrial scale.
Apart from the pellet extrusion system, the Piocreat G40 boasts a high-speed 8.5KW/24000 HVCT and advanced five-axis CNC head for high-precision machining. Its A-axis offers ±120° and C-axis ±320° rotation ensuring flexibility and top performance. Due to this, the G40 model excels in processing thermoplastics, carbon fiber, and engineering-grade polymers with outstanding accuracy and ease.
A self-developed pressure wheel effectively improves density of 3D printed materials. The high-performance pressure wheel makes interlayer bonding much stronger, which results in robust and reliable pellet printed parts.
Thanks to the high-temperature extruder with the maximum temperature of 450 °C and heated build platform of up to 200 °C improving stability of the bottom layer of the printed models, the Piocreat G40 can print with a wide range of thermoplastic pellets with a granule size of 2–5 mm. The list of compatible materials includes consumer and engineering-grade thermoplastics, fiber-reinforced composites, special mixtures, ceramics, metals, etc.
Pellet printing provides the user with a possibility of rapid material change, allowing for the combination of different plastics in a single project. One can also change the material color during printing by adding color masterbatch to the pellets. Apart from working with original consumables, the machine supports printing with recycled plastics, making for innovative green production and circular economy.
The fully automatic 3-in-1 material management system of the Piocreat G40 3D printer provides auto feeding, constant drying, and dehumidification of printing materials. This ensures timely material supply for continuous 24/7 printing needs.
The Piocreat G40 features an ultra-large build volume of 146.7 x 98.4 x 52.4 in (3725 x 2500 x 1330 mm), with the constant internal temperature of 35–50 °C. This makes the G40 model suitable for producing oversized thermoplastic parts, functional prototypes, full-scale molds, landscape models, industrial tools, etc. in various spheres using composite materials, from aerospace to urban design. With the six-zone independently controlled heated platform, one can effectively produce multiple parts simultaneously.
The CNC processing size of the G40 model is 133.9 x 98.4 x 52.4 in (3400 x 2500 x 1330 mm).
The Piocreat G40 pellet 3D printer is operated via a 32" full touch all-in-one machine with a clear menu structure and user-friendly interface. Powered by OSAI control system, the G40 model ensures high response speed and equipment stability.
Data input can be performed via U disk and Wi-Fi. In terms of slicing software, the Piocreat G40 comes with the manufacturer’s proprietary program — Piocreat Slicer. It features all the necessary editing tools and supports STL, OBJ, and AMF file formats. Moreover, the machine is fully compatible with such popular slicers as Creality Print, Cura, and Simplify3D.
The Piocreat G40 large-scale pellet 3D printer is available in white with gray and black trimmings. Its enormous build volume in combination with CNC machining capabilities make the G40 model ideal for various industrial fields, such as aerospace, automotive manufacturing, ship building, wind energy, urban landscaping, etc.
The outer dimensions of the machine are 234.7 x 166.1 x 189 in (5962 x 4220 x 4800 mm). It weighs approximately 33000 lbs (15000 kg).
