Slice Engineering AP3X Nozzles

The AP3X nozzles from Slice Engineering are 3D printing nozzles with an extended 2 mm tip length specially designed for effective belt and non-planar printing. They offer increased thermal conductivity, durability and wear resistance alongside high precision. The AP3X nozzles come in three diameters and are available in two versions differing in terms of material, properties, and purpose — BridgeMaster (on the left) or Vanadium (on the right). The desired option can be selected in the Add-ons and Extras menu.

As RepRap style nozzles with slightly increased size (M6 x 1.0 threads with a 7 mm thread length and 14.5 mm overall length), the AP3X devices boast universal compatibility and support common metric (6 mm) and standard (1/4 in) socket tools for easy installation.

Apart from the mentioned benefits, the Slice Engineering AP3X nozzles feature precise and solid design enabling accurate and stable printing. Thanks to enhanced construction and several diameter options, they can be effectively applied in manifold spheres.

BridgeMaster variant

Thanks to the copper alloy core optimized for thermal conduction, the BridgeMaster nozzles ensure smooth and reliable heat transfer all the way to the nozzle tip, enabling maximized part cooling without worrying about gradually decreasing filament temperature.

To further enhance the wear-resistant potential of this version, the surface of the nozzles is coated with a tough carbide-based surface coating. Thus, they can safely print filaments with non-plastic additives, such as wood, glitter, or glow fillers.

Vanadium variant

The Vanadium nozzles are hardened and tempered to 65 Rockwell C all the way through the substrate, not just on the surface, which makes them increasingly hard and consistent. Due to vanadium-alloyed high-speed steel with a plastic repellent coating, these nozzles provide superior abrasion resistance at high printing temperatures.

In tandem with the Mosquito Magnum+ hotend from Slice Engineering, the AP3X nozzles become an ideal option for non-planar 3D printing.
