Ultimaker 2 Extended+ 3D Printrer

Part of the Ultimaker 2+ series, the Ultimaker 2 Extended+ is a professional FDM 3D printer designed to deliver consistent prints with top-notch quality. Unlike its smaller counterpart (Ultimaker 2+), the Extended model offers a bigger build area, giving you the possibility to produce larger end-use parts in one go. The device is shipped almost fully assembled, you’ll only have to put the glass bed in place and feed the filament to start printing immediately. 

This expanded printer provides high design flexibility featuring interchangeable nozzles and high-speed print head. It lets you print 3D objects with a layer resolution from 0.04 to 0.02 mm as fast as 300 mm/s. The heated platform alongside the closed-frame makes it compatible with a wide range of advanced materials, including ABS and CPE. It is a valid ally for rapid prototyping and design proofing. Print quality

The Ultimaker 2 Extended+ can print at 20 microns. The nozzle temperature can be adjusted from 180°C to 260°C, while the heated bed can reach up to 100°C. The machine lets you create detailed, smooth models at a print speed from 30 to 300 mm/s.

The print head runs on rods with linear bearings.

Materials

Ultimaker 2 Extended+ can print with ABS, PLA, Exotics and other materials. 

As part of the Vichand Project, a team of engineers, designers and volunteers used various Ultimaker printers to produce the Victoria Hand V200 prosthesis. Made with different materials, the final model is extremely accurate and works smoothly.

Unlike many other FDM printers, the Ultimaker 2 Extended+ has a heated print bed and closed print chamber, which means it can reliably print with ABS-type and temperature-sensitive materials.

The Ultimaker 2 Extended+ prints with 2.85 mm filament, providing you with a wide choice of materials.

Build volume

The build area of 223 x 223 x 305 mm lets you print just about anything, in one piece or in parts, as needed.

Printer controls

You can comfortably tether the printer to your computer using a USB cable, or you can simply operate it using the fitted knob-operated LCD interface available.

3D models can be printed from computer via Ethernet, USB cable, WIFI. 

The printer works with Ultimaker Cura. This popular software works with 3D models in STL, OBJ, DAE, and AMF formats. It is available for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.
