Compatible materials

Due to the efficient combination of four modules, the xTool M1 Ultra can handle more than 1,000 different materials — three times more than a typical vinyl cutter or single-mode laser engraver. From soft to hard, thin to thick, and flat to 3D curved surfaces, the M1 Ultra is designed to meet all your crafting needs.

Working area

The working area of 300 x 300 mm is large enough for most of your creative home projects or even for a batch production of smaller items, which is especially helpful if you have decided to start a business. In some modes, the working area can be slightly smaller, namely: Blade Mode — 295 x 295 mm for cutting blade; Inkjet Mode — 296 x 286 mm.

Machine controls

The xTool M1 Ultra is extremely user-friendly and easy to operate from almost any device via Wi-Fi. You can also launch the M1 Ultra by clicking the start button on the front panel of the machine. The power, USB, and extension ports are on the back side.

The M1 Ultra craft machine can be connected to the PC using Wi-Fi or USB and is controlled through the dedicated software. Either way, the crafting process consists of just a few simple steps shown below.

Software

The xTool M1 Ultra comes with the proprietary xTool Creative Space software. This free program is user-friendly, multifunctional, and allows for firmware updates. Overall, there are four operating modes for the xTool M1 Ultra.

Laser Mode uses a 10W diode laser for cutting and engraving. Focused down to a tiny dot, laser precision is sharper than you can imagine: achieved at the micron level (up to 0.01 mm), it can capture all the details perfectly. Plus, the laser can effortlessly cut through materials up to 6mm thick in one smooth pass. Using the optional RA2 Pro rotary attachment, you can engrave on just about anything round or curved, from party favors to sports gear.

Blade Mode works with four different blade tools, two default and two available as add-ons. The Fine-point Blade provides premium delicate cutting for 1.5mm paper, stickers, vinyl, etc. The Cutting Blade boasts the ability to process thick materials up to 2.5mm, which is ideal for leather, matboard, and even balsa wood. The Rotary Blade (add-on) glides through fabrics like denim, cotton, and linen. Finally, the Foil Transfer Tip (add-on) is capable of creating stunning foil accents or adding elegant debossing to paper, cardstock, leather, and more.

Inkjet Mode (add-on) opens up a whole new world of possibilities for unconventional media like wood, clay, coated stone, fabric, etc. With CMY technology, it is easy to create stunningly colorful prints, enhancing the vibrancy of your creations.

Pen Mode uses various pens for auto drawing and writing. Enjoy precise strokes, smooth fills, and endless customization with third-party pens like Cricut—just ensure they fit the pen holder. For longer pens, the machine supports open-lid processing (Pen Mode only).

xTool M1 Ultra Riser Base Kit

The xTool M1 Ultra Riser Base Kit is used to increase the height of the working area. The base supports all operating scenarios of the M1 Ultra model and allows engraving on objects up to 125 mm height. It is fully compatible with the RA2 Pro rotary attachment and makes engraving on curved surfaces easy. Thus, one can effortlessly engrave rings, mugs, tumblers, balls, and more.

The base is fully enclosed, the acrylic cover blocking 90% of dust, smoke, and hazardous blue light emission. Serving as an extra storage, the Riser Base Kit allows you to keep your tools handy and well-organized, ensuring they are always at hand. xTool M1 Ultra Inkjet Module

The M1 Ultra Inkjet Module lets one bring colors to their crafts with CMY ink technology. No dried-up ink: the inkjet module automatically seals itself after each job, always fresh for action. It can print on fabrics, boards, printing paper, clay, leather, and other materials. However, the module does not work with very dense or smooth surfaces, such as metal, glass, and ceramics, because the ink cannot penetrate or adhere. These materials can be processed after applying a suitable ink coating.

xTool SafetyPro AP2 Air Purifier

The xTool SafetyPro AP2 Air Purifier with SuperCyclone System is designed for the M1 Ultra to efficiently absorb 99% of dust particles, fumes, and unpleasant odors and ensure safe operation in any environment. With its 6-stage filtration and 36 small cyclone groups operating in parallel, the AP2 Air Purifier generates super centrifugal force, efficiently separating dust and dirt and preventing clogging of filters.

The intelligent control functions include Auto-On/Off, Sync with xTool Lasers, Tailored Setting for Every Material, and Filter Life Cycle Monitoring. In addition, the SuperCyclone filter is easy to clean and reuse. Simply wash it to keep the cyclone working like new, saving you the cost of replacing pre-filters.

xTool SafetyPro IF2 Hyper Flow Inline Duct Fan

Laser cutting generates smoke quickly, demanding not only strong airflow but also faster, more efficient suction when it comes to inline fans. The xTool SafetyPro IF2 enhances both airflow and suction performance up to 200% to ensure a clean and safe workspace for the M1 Ultra users when in Laser Mode. 

Alongside its quiet operation and smart connectivity, the IF2 boasts a compact, waterproof (IP55), and removable design that ensures quick and effortless maintenance. Like the AP2, the IF2 comes with the following intelligent control functions: Auto-On/Off, Sync with xTool Lasers, and Tailored Setting for Every Material.

One can use the xTool AP2 air purifier and IF2 inline fan with the M1 Ultra simultaneously. To do this, just make sure to connect the AP2 first and then the IF2, or it might affect performance. xTool Fire Safety Set

As the world’s first fully automated fire safety system for desktop laser cutters, the xTool Fire Safety Set boasts such capabilities as auto flame detection, alarm triggering, power cut, and fire extinguishing. All these features effectively minimize the possibility of fire accidents caused by the laser of the M1 Ultra in Laser Mode.

By using 5 fire detection sensors and integrated algorithms of light, temperature, and position inside an enclosed laser cutter, the xTool Fire Safety Set is sensitive to any possible dangers. Immediately after detecting fire, it will automatically trigger the alarm, shut down the working laser in a few seconds, and automatically release the CO2 gas into the enclosed space to quench the fire with non-toxic and odorless fumes, thus preventing the machine from further damage.
