The Anisoprint CFC PA is a nylon based filament developed by the Polymaker company specially for the use with the and 3D printers featuring the proprietary Anisoprint CFC (Continuous Fiber Co-extrusion) technology of printing with continuous fiber reinforced filaments. The Composer printers are equipped with a composite extruder where composite carbon or basalt fiber is coated with a melted polymer matrix, and the reinforced filament goes through the nozzle to print a part. Learn more about the technology from this video:

The CFC PA features low viscosity for better fiber layers adhesion and its rapid cooling and solidification allow for the optimal fiber placement. It is recommended to print at 250–270 °C using an Anisoprint composite brass nozzle or composite steel nozzle if necessary. The recommended print speed for the CFC process is 10–20 mm/s. While printing with composite carbon or basalt reinforcement fibers, fan cooling (50–100%) is advisable for the neater fiber layup.

The advantage of the Anisoprint CFC PA, compared to other nylon filaments, is its low moisture absorption which means it can be printed without an active dryer, although for larger prints drying at 60 °C is recommended by the manufacturer.

The Anisoprint CFC PA is an excellent choice to be used as a polymer matrix in CFC Anisoprint 3D printers, providing perfect adhesion with the reinforcement fiber and allowing for incredibly strong lightweight parts with great mechanical properties.
