The BASF Ultrafuse ABS Fusion+ is an engineering ABS-based FFF filament specially optimized for 3D printing. It has been developed in collaboration with Polyscope Polymers and is made with Polyscope XILOY 3D, a hybrid alloy of semi-crystalline PP rigidified with an amorphous SMA (styrene maleic anhydride). Such formula provides easier processing and more reliable results compared to conventional ABS thermoplastics. The Ultrafuse ABS Fusion+ can be printed directly on a heated glass print bed without the need for adhesives, and shows extremely low warpage. The material features high heat and chemical resistance as well as superb toughness and strength. Another considerable advantage of the ABS Fusion+ is its compatibility with water-soluble support structures which is a common problem when printing with standard ABS.
The Ultrafuse ABS Fusion+ is recommended to be printed on a glass print bed heated up to 100–120 °C with the nozzle temperature of 240–260 °C. The cooling fans should be turned off or set to not more than 25%. The recommended layer height is 100–200 microns.
The outstanding characteristics of the BASF Ultrafuse ABS Fusion+ filament make it the material of choice for any application requiring strong, durable, dimensionally accurate parts that are easy to print. It is an ideal solution for automotive industry.
The BASF Ultrafuse ABS Fusion+ 1.75 mm 3D printing filament is sold in 0.75 kg spools. It comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
