The BASF Ultrafuse BVOH is a support filament based on butenediol vinyl alcohol copolymer. It is used to build support structures when printing complex geometry and multi-component models with overhanging elements, bridges, and voids. The use of supports allows avoiding part deformation and warping and ensures reliable printing results.
The Ultrafuse BVOH is water-soluble, so you only need to submerge your printed part in water, and the supports will dissolve completely, leaving no marks on the model surface. Using higher water temperature speeds up the dissolution. Compared to standard PVA supports, the BVOH dissolves two times faster and provides more consistent and reliable printing results.
The BASF Ultrafuse BVOH is compatible with multiple filaments, including PLA, ABS Fusion+, TPUs, PET, PA, PAHT CF15, and others.
The BASF Ultrafuse BVOH 1.75 mm support material is sold in 0.35 kg spools. It comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
