BCN3D Sigmax R19 is an FDM professional printer from the Spanish BCN3D Technologies company. It features the same characteristics of the BCN3D Sigma R19 while boasting an enlarged build area of 420 x 297 x 210 mm. It ships fully assembled and arrives ready to print. It employs a removable heated bed, an intuitive touch screen for easy operation and a dual extrusion system with separate nozzles. By operating independently, the two extruders double your printing capability letting you create multi-material and multi-color objects at a time. It supports a variety of standard and high-performance materials. It is used in a range of environments, from professional applications to educational ones as well. Scroll down for further details.

This cool prototype has been realized by some students of the Istituto Europeo di Design. The institute has been adopting the BCN3D technologies for prototyping and functional testing, speeding up students creative process and turning conceptual designs into reality.

Print quality

The BCN3D Sigmax R19 is an FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 50 microns. This way you can produce parts with smooth exterior surfaces. The standard BCN3D Independent Dual Extrusion system lets you increase productivity by printing two same models at a time or the same model and its symmetrical part simultaneously. It also prints multi-color and multi-material objects eagerly. Its industrial-grade parts, including the redesigned e3D™ hotends and Bondtech™ dual-drive gear extruder, ensure accuracy and durability, producing good quality prints. The quality-of-life features, like the filament-end detection, streamlines the feeding process avoiding unpleasant inconveniences.

The extruder comes with a fan for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints.

Unlike many FDM printers, the BCN3D Sigmax R19 has a heated print bed made of glass and closed print chamber, which means it can keep a constant interior temperature to reliably print with ABS-type materials.
