The CHT nozzles from Bondtech are 3D printing nozzles designed for improved flow rate. Crafted from nickel-coated brass, they boast enhanced wear resistance alongside high performance. According to the title, the CHT nozzles feature a special Core Heating Technology allowing them to melt the material faster and more efficiently. The devices are available in six diameters (one unit per pack). The desired option can be selected in the Add-ons and Extras menu.

As RepRap style nozzles (M6 x 1.0 threads with a 7 mm thread length and 12.5 mm overall length), the Bondtech CHT nozzles offer universal compatibility and can be used with both 1.75 and 2.85 mm hotends. Despite a large selection of supported materials (the full list is provided in the Specifications section), the standard CHT devices are not recommended for technical and abrasive filaments. For this purpose, check out the version.

Apart from the mentioned benefits, the Bondtech CHT nozzles are machined with ultra-precision, which makes them perfect for accurate and stable printing. Thanks to rigid construction and multiple diameter options, they can be effectively applied in manifold spheres.

Highlights

Effective technology

The Bondtech CHT nozzles are based on the original Core Heating Technology. They split the filament into three thinner strands, which allows it to melt from within. Due to this method, the material melts faster, ensuring 30% higher flow rates.

Reliable coating

Thanks to a nickel coating, the CHT nozzles have increased protection against corrosion, erosion, and abrasion. Another benefit is a lower coefficient of friction providing smoother feeding of the material and reduced adhesion of filament to the surface of the nozzle.

Resistant to issues

Based on the refined filament-splitting technology, the CHT nozzles prevent potential problems with cold or atomic pulls as well as retraction issues. For example, the following video demonstrates a skull printed with a 0.6 mm CHT nozzle using 0.6 mm as retraction distance:

Universal compatibility

As RepRap style nozzles, the CHT devices are fully compatible with the following hotends / hot blocks:

  • Slice Engineering , including , , and version ;
  • Slice Engineering ;
  • E3D V4, V5 and, blocks;
  • E3D and Kraken;
  • RepRap M6.

Furthermore, they are optimized for 1.75 mm filament, but can also be used with 2.85 mm hotends.

Cost-effective replacement

One more advantage of the Bondtech CHT nozzles is their fast return on investment. With a 30% print speed boost, you will save at least 10 hours for each 30, which is at most $1.99 per hour.

Price

The price for the Bondtech CHT nozzles is $19.90, which is reasonable considering their reliability and high performance.
