The CraftBot Flow is a professional single extrusion 3D printer produced by CraftUnique. It is part of the so-called CraftBot Flow generation, which also includes the larger CraftBot Flow XL and the Craftbot Flow IDEX and IDEX XL dual extrusion 3D printers. The CraftBot Flow series is inspired by the award-winning CraftBot 3 and CraftBot PLUS along with users’ feedback. Unlike the previous generation, it comes with a set of useful upgrades, including redesigned hotends, a reinforced steel frame with double-shell configuration, and a new motherboard powered by a Raspberry Pi engine.
Sturdy, stable and durable, the CraftBot Flow single extruder 3D printer ships fully assembled, ready to print right out of the box. Compact and with a large printing area, it has a build volume of 300 x 200 x 250 mm. It comes packed with a thoughtful feature-set. The automatic XY calibration system and the semi-automatic electronically-aided bed-leveling mechanism simplify the calibration process while granting high printing accuracy. The integrated filament monitoring system and the pause & resume function minimize the risk of printing failures caused by material issues and power outages, making for a seamless 3D printing experience. The multilayered heated bed has been designed to provide both strong adhesion and easy print removal. The all-metal hotend prevents filament jamming while providing high-quality prints.
Thanks to its reliability, accuracy and ease of use, this plug-and-play FDM 3D printer is a good pick for both newbies and seasoned users. It is ideal for daily use in a variety of industries, including engineering, rapid prototyping, industrial design, small-scale manufacturing, and machinery. Continue reading for a complete review.

The machine shows firm extruded aluminum profiles along the Z-axis. The print head runs on linear rails, which makes printing reliable, fast and precise.
The CraftBot Flow employs a direct drive single extruder with an operating nozzle temperature of up to 300°C. Thanks to the 300°C all-metal hotend, it is able to print with both standard and specialty filaments. In particular, it can process PLA, ABS, PET, Nylon, Carbon-fiber reinforced composites, wood, brass, and many other materials.

To ensure high reproducibility, we recommend installing an enclosed print chamber. This way the print quality would not be affected by temperature fluctuations as a result of drafts and other factors.
The CraftBot Flow relies on an open filament material system. This means it can print with any type of 1.75 mm filament, providing you with a wide choice of materials and design possibilities.
The build area of the CraftBot Flow is 11.8 x 7.9 x 9.8 inches (300 x 200 x 250 mm mm). It lets you print a variety of medium-to-large objects in one piece. If you need to print large objects, the XL version might be a better choice.
The Flow printer can be controlled via the built-in 5-inch color touchscreen. The device features a responsive web interface with a simple control option that can be connected to a computer via an intranet connection.
It includes a 4GB internal storage for standalone printing. It also has a built-in camera and an LED status indicator. The integrated Raspberry Pi leaves room for ongoing upgrades.
The printer comes bundled with the proprietary CraftWare software but is compatible with 3rd-party slicers as well. The printer software supports G-code, STL, and OBJ files. It runs on Windows 7 and above, OS X and Linux.
