Print quality

The Creality Sermoon D3 can print layers with heights ranging from 100 to 400 microns. Sturdy frame consisting of thick metal plates and four vertical aerospace aluminum profiles provides increased stability. Due to high-quality stainless steel linear shafts, the machine is able to withstand the inertia force of the moving print head, which makes for failure-free steady printing for up to 8000 hours.

The Sermoon D3 is equipped with an advanced stepper motor driver chip that enables 1/256 microstepping and smooth printing at up to 5x speed. With 0.01 mm precision, the CNC-machined X/Y axis gantry system is made for a seamless fit. To further reduce mechanical errors and boost accuracy, Creality uses powerful high-torque motors and durable timing belts and pulleys.

The unique “Sprite” dual-gear direct drive extruder delivers strong extrusion and retraction force as well as consistent printing at lasting high temperatures thanks to the inner-polished copper alloy nozzle and bi-metal heat break. In addition, the extruder is engineered with two effective 5015 cooling fans.

Finally, the fully enclosed and heat-retaining structure of the Sermoon D3 in combination with its adjustable heat bed (up to 110 °С) provides even heating, which results in less cracking and edge curling issues.
