The CreatBot PLA-CF is a polylactic acid filament reinforced with 15% carbon fiber. PLA is one of the most common thermoplastics for FDM printing since it is affordable, easy to print, and capable of creating dimensionally accurate parts with superior surface finish. It is also ecologically safe and does not emit toxic fumes while printing.
Being filled with carbon fiber, the material acquires better tensile properties and impact strength compared to common PLA. Improved dimensional stability, surface quality, and interlayer adhesion as well as higher strength allow using the CreatBot PLA-CF for creating visual and functional prototypes, architectural models, and various consumer products. It is also suitable for mold production, tooling, and jigs and fixtures manufacturing.
