The E3D V6 nozzles are proprietary 3D printing nozzles designed for use with the E3D V6 heater block. They are available in five varieties differing in terms of material, each of which features unique properties and therefore is suitable for certain cases described below. Also, there are several size and diameter options for every variant. For more information check out the “Diameter availability” section and choose the appropriate options in the “Add-ons & extras” menu.
With the V6 nozzles, one can modify their printer’s HotEnd to achieve fine details with smaller nozzle orifices or make substantial, stronger prints with larger ones. The list of compatible devices is quite impressive and includes V6, Lite6, Chimera,Titan Aero, Titan Aqua, Hemera, and Prusa MK2/MK3/Mini HotEnds.
Apart from the mentioned benefits, the E3D V6 nozzles boast precise design with the brand internal geometry enabling accurate and stable printing. Thanks to robust all-metal construction, they can be effectively applied in manifold industries.

The E3D brass nozzles are affordable general-purpose parts that offer optimal thermal properties for everyday printing. Rated to a maximum temperature of 300 °C, they ensure smooth layers for standard non-abrasive applications.
Brass as a material features well-balanced characteristics, such as good thermal conductivity, precision, and uniformity. Furthermore, it is not subject to corrosion, which makes for increasingly smooth surface finish. Still, when using a wire brush or more aggressive filaments, for example carbon fiber or metal filled materials, brass nozzles can eventually become unusable.
The E3D nickel-plated copper nozzles are suitable for high-temperature, non-abrasive applications. Thanks to the nickel plating, they provide reduced plastic adhesion and increased flow rate, which is perfect for temperatures up to 500 °C.
Plated copper boasts increased thermal conductivity and low surface energy. Also, the copper alloy is better for high-temperature applications compared to its analogues. Overall, these nozzles are ideal for sticky materials like TPU and PETG as well as refractory polymers like Ultem.
The E3D stainless steel nozzles are designed for medical, food-grade printing, and other similar applications where the lead content of brass nozzles is unsuitable for regulatory reasons. They are rated for a maximum temperature of 500 °C.
Despite the lack of proper certification, the stainless steel nozzles still offer a number of benefits, including abrasion and abuse resistance in contrast to regular brass nozzles. However, in this way they are inferior to those made of hardened steel. In addition, stainless steel nozzles can be used with some chemically corrosive materials.
The E3D hardened steel nozzles are perfect for abrasive filaments, such as carbon fiber, wood, glitter, and metal filled materials. Featuring a maximum temperature of 500 °C, they still cannot be used for printing abrasive filaments at temperatures above 350 °C.
These nozzles boast high wear and abuse resistance as well as long service life. Hardened steel nozzles can also be cleaned with a wire brush without any damage, but keep in mind they are brittle and therefore might crack rather than deform. Being less thermally conductive compared to brass, hardened steel nevertheless does not have a noticeable impact on actual performance and print speed. In case of under-extrusion when switching between these two types of nozzles, increase your print temperature to achieve acceptable outcomes.
The E3D Nozzle X is made from a hardened tool-steel base, plated with Nickel to maintain hardness at elevated temperatures, and has a WS2 coating for reduced adhesion. Rated to a maximum temperature of 500 °C, this nozzle works with almost any printable material, from PLA to carbon fiber filled PEEK, without wearing.
Designed as a universal tool for all purposes, the Nozzle X successfully combines the abrasion resistance of the hardened steel nozzles, the heat resistance of the plated copper nozzles, and has a reliable coating to prevent clogging and filament sticking. Additionally, the Nozzle X benefits from the proven internal geometry by E3D to avoid backpressure issues.
The price for the E3D V6 Brass Nozzles is $11.00, which is reasonable considering their versatility and high performance.
