The Farsoon HT403P is an industrial SLS 3D printer from the manufacturer’s flagship 403P series, which is aimed for robustness and simplicity of working operations. The HT403P model is a high-temperature-capable version compared to its counterparts, the lite and standard 3D printers. It is more potent than the former in terms of the laser power (100W in contrast to 55W), scanning speed (15.2 m/s vs. 10 m/s), and volume build rate. Moreover, it boasts the highest build chamber temperature (220 °C compared to 190 °C), which lets it process high-performance materials, such as PA6, for direct-use applications.

The Farsoon 403P series is engineered with a capacious build cylinder designed to satisfy nearly all manufacturer’s needs. The machines provide a decent scanning speed, which makes for fast sintering. The heated build chamber, advanced temperature shielding, laser power, and thermal controls allow them to work with high-performance powders, while the open system unique for laser sintering and inherent only to the company’s devices lets the user freely change printing parameters and mix various consumables in different proportions to get new materials.

Apart from the mentioned features, the 403P machines offer a high efficiency roller and convenient removable powder cartridge system ensuring enhanced productivity and low price per part. Due to the comprehensive software with open parameters, real-time build settings modification, 3D visualization, and diagnostic procedures, managing the Farsoon devices is really easy and sustainable.

Print quality

The Farsoon HT403P can sinter layers with a minimum thickness of 60 microns. It is equipped with a 100W CO2 laser and a high-precision three-axis digital galvo system to ensure high accuracy and detail of produced parts.

Furthermore, the printer is engineered with a heated chamber capable of reaching 220 °C. Alongside eight-zone heater and smart thermal control reducing the risk of deformation, this allows you to smoothly print high performance materials, such as GF and PA6.

The Farsoon HT403P works with polymer powder stored in replaceable cartridges. Like other devices from the company’s product line, the machine features an open material system. It is compatible with the following powders: FS3300PA, FS3401GB, FS4100PA, FS3150CF, FS3250MF, Ultrasint® PP nat 01, FS1092A-TPU, FS1088A-TPU, FS6140GF, Ultrasint® PA6.

 

Build volume

The Farsoon HT403P model comes with a build cylinder of 15.8 x 15.8 x 17.7 inches (400 x 400 x 450 mm). This way, the machine can print most of your desired models in one piece, without splitting them into parts. This will generally speed up the production process. Moreover, compared to its HS403P counterpart, the HT403P model boasts a higher volume build rate of up to 4.0 L/h (depending on the parts printed and materials used).

 

Printer controls

The Farsoon HT403P can be operated via a mounted control unit with a clear and user-friendly interface. It is available in two real-time interchangeable modes: Expert and Production.

The printer is powered by the in-house BuildStar and MakeStar software for efficient build package preparation and comprehensive machine control. Both programs offer streamlined procedures and a number of useful features making the printing process rapid, open, easy, and effective. The integrated software runs on Windows 10 (64 bit). It supports the STL file format.
